@ Willriker,
Sounds like your waaaaaaay out on a limb there but, just to test what you say. I striped some wire and submerge it into some juice. @ 4.2v, notta, zip, nothing, not even 1 mA of current passing.

awwwwwesome!

sorry, i am just concerned about exposed wires. Always. Its served me well over the years.

Raidy - out of interest. I posted a drawing for a 'quick and dirty' E2 mod yesterday using the existing coil (and cup)... Do you think it might work?

EDIT: Vent hole indicated (as noted by kwcharlie below).
Okay I'm confused-- how does the ceramic cup in figure 2 stay suspended without the air tube? Is it just laying in there or is it fixated to the side?

@slopes:
It will work if YOU can work so accurate.

@Willriker:
Absolutly no problem. If you use less than 30V there's nothing happen.

@all:
part 2 after the vacation !

@ADMIN:
Where is they "my posts" button going, which i miss since today?:(
Since i'm here (only 6 days now but 10.000 post, YEAH), the button always was on the blue border in the top.
Dear "my posts" button: I miss you :( Please, please come back :( I'll be honest. I miss you:(

If you go into your profile there is a link below your picture that says 'find all posts'.

EDIT: Vent hole indicated (as noted by kwcharlie below).

Slopes, I have found that if the air vent hole is directly underneith the heating coil the vapour production is far better and the coil lasts longer since it is cooled by the airstream passing over it. Maybe the E2 Genesis mod could be adapted slightly to have air drawn from under the cup? Also, I would shorten the mesh and rather connect to a fibre wick below the cup - maybe cotton or silica rope. If you are vaping with the cart almost empty the liquid might not reach the top of the mesh where the coil is. The cappillary action of the mesh won't be as good as an absobing fibre such as silica rope or alike when there is little liquid left. Just my 2 pennies worth...

@l3oertjie - my intention was to line up the hole with one of the two slots in the side of the cup (where the original wick threaded through). It wasn't possible to show this on the drawing, but it should give some draft to the coil.

@stouchon - It would be great to leave the air pipe (vent) in place (especially as I prefer auto batteries). But I think wrapping the SS mesh around it would lessen the capillary action.

why do you already believe that a silica or fibrewick has to be used again? one of the main points is to get rid of this types of filler/wick.
its not necessary to get the last half of a drop out of the tank.

Well, was only my 2 cents you know.... (also known as constructive comments.... or maybe not)

The E2 cart is quite long and I am not sure if the S/S mesh would wick a thick VG liquid effectively that high? Guess trial and error will show.

My intention is not to distract from the mesh idea - that is brilliant - all I'm thinking with a bottom fed design, you need to get the liquid close to the mesh in order for it to bring liquid to the coil easily.

Slopes, bringing that air vent to the side will work well! I think it is a great idea. Build it, try it. let us know! Good luck!

Yea,, They found the "My Posts" button.
It seems that Raidy forgot to turn off the lights last night before he left here and one of those guys from another thread slipped in and made off with it.

Uhh, Guys. Before we try to re-invent the wheel here, lets just build it the way Master Raidy says to 1st. After that well then ,,, Have at it. All of this talk about using this thing or that thing could seem disrespectful

You are right Gummy, maybe We should start a new thread for any other ideas about how to do things differently. Or Master Raidy could start a how to thread with only questions about the how to, are allowed.

Kind of what I'm thinking. Asking him about the way he's does something is one thing, but asking for speculation on whether or not our own ideas may work, it just clutters the thread and detracts from his wonderful ingenuity. Personally I have many ideas to try based on his use, but I'd rather try them myself that to bother him with my trivial thoughts.

Arrrg, my kanthal will be here the day before my mesh. What to do??? lol

Tell me about it. I am working on a bottom cap for the laxan tubing, I don't have a lathe but I am very clever with my drill press. It's just that I will spend hours (perhaps days) doing something with it that I could do in 3 min.s with the proper tool.
