I'm not sure I understand Raidy's reaction...
He released his Genisis design along with showing all his wonderful creations.
He said he was not planning on taking that to commercial production since it was intermediate experimentation on the way to subsequent products that he did plan to sell the rights to.
He said that people could use it/distribute it/co-op etc., but did not want people to profit from it.

It's that last part. This is a certainty. Raidy appears to be an accomplished engineer and is not naive. He has kept the follow-on intended production invention secret and is patenting it before selling the rights for commercial production. While it may be disheartening that his wishes (apparently) were not honored, it was a gauranteed result of making it public on major e-cig forums world wide. Maybe he did it to get widespread feedback on acceptance. Maybe he did it out of vanity. Whatever the reason, this was an eventuality.

Removed....just going to instead say thank you Sir Raidy for giving us a better way to vape!

@Raidy....way too many people here respect your position. and many of us here have stood behind you and have stood up for you and your wishes during your absence to see that no one took your hard work and ideas. If you decide to leave, I understand. But I would love to see you come back.

I think He speaks about this

Well not for nothing, I really appreciate Raidy's contributions. I think he is awesome. And I know everyone here has truly tried to appreciate his work and honor his wishes. However, it think it is really sad and somewhat childish to think he would cut everyone off that have been supportive of his efforts, and accurate to his wishes. Have a great life Raidy, and good luck with the new atomizer. Maybe you will make a fortune on it, and not be so unhappy with the way this went.

What? He said he wasn't going to share anymore. You think he is obligated to do so? As far as co-ops, he only said he was going to enforce his patents on those who didn't meet his terms. That sounds more than fair don't you think?

Well yes, I think it is somewhat childish. I stand by that. I enjoyed seeing his work and he obviously enjoyed showing it off. I mean he started the thread. It is naive to think that someone will not take a good idea and try to make money with it. It is sad that the world is this commercial, but it is a fact. Not everyone has the ability or patience to build these mods themselves. there have been people practically begging for someone to sell them since they started to appear. It will inevitably happen. I think Raidy knew this when he started the thread. I am very happy we have the community that we have, and I would like to think that I am part of the bunch that Raidy targeted when he openly exchanged the information. I would never intentionally go against his, or anyone else's wishes for personal gain, however, there are those that do and this is an open forum. It is bound to happen. I will miss Raidy's input, but if that is literally his attitude, I am not so sure that it upsets me all that much.

I don't disagree that OOsturmo is wrong, if he is making a profit selling a genisis design. He obtained this information from this source, and it was well known that Raidy did not desire that the information be used in this way. In fact he even stated that he would sue for patent infringement if someone did this. I think he may have a valid case here. I am simply stating that Raidy has somewhat of a following here, of people who appreciate him. To write them all off, us all off, is somewhat offensive. I can't believe that no one else would feel this way. I wish Mr. Raidy all the best, and appreciate the knowledge that he shared. I just can't help but think that his reaction diminished my level of admiration of his achievements.

Well that is that was a nice run Raidy shared with us and decided it was time to stop..... No matter how you look at it it was his decision and his ideas..... The few of you this would apply to grow up and thank Raidy for everything he has contributed and stop talking down about his choices..... I am not going to argue with anyone that wants to quote this and say something about it unless it is to agree..... Once again Raidy thank you for everything and best of luck in the future..... We hope you will still pop in once in a while to say hi.....
