When I first started vaping, I ordered several tobacco flavored e-juices in search of one that tasted the most like an analog. I've only tried a couple of other flavors - chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. These all still taste okay, especially if I mix them together. But all the tobacco flavors make my mouth taste like a rat died in there.

I have unflavored juice and some LorAnn flavors coming, but this is seriously disgusting. I'm sucking on a peppermint constantly to disguise the taste. Anyone else ever have this problem? I just can't understand why the taste of tobacco would turn me off.

Are you guys vaping "crazy glue" bottled e-juice by any chance?

That stuff tastes like sweaty feet to me, once the flavor has worn off...
Juice that comes in round bottles doesn't do that to me. Diff. manufacturer.

<edit> I just noticed you are a bit new, so I'll add a note - MOST flavors will taper down gradually until you can't really taste them anymore. It's your taste buds getting used to tasting it all day, every day. It can take a week, or a month, depending on the flavor, and you personally. Then you only taste the base, whatever it may be. You can get away from that by rotating flavors... the base of "crazy glue" bottle juice I find very objectionable, and it DID linger for me too. Other people don't have that issue with it. <edit>

Same boat here. I first started vaping with camel, marlboro, flue cured tobacco, and french pipe. It's been about month and a half since I quit analogs and have been vaping all kinds of other flavors like peach, ry4, banana, coffee...but my all time favorite has to be menthol (I've smoked non-menthal cigs for over 20yrs.) I can't even take few puffs of the tobacco flavored juice anymore. What to do with over 200ml of tobacco juice...

I don't know guys/gals- at first I thought it was the primer on a 901 atty but today I was using a clean 401 and it was no different. i even tried tea bag cart filling to see if that would help- it did a tiny bit I think, but not for long. This mouth taste- it does not go well with artichokes (dinner tonight)
as far as I can tell- I'm not unwell (I can usually tell when something is coming)

hopefully the coming new flavors of liquid I ordered will save the day but they can't get here soon enough for me!!!

Hey im sorry to post this in a random topic, but it will not let me make a new threat.. im just curious as to what level of nicotene i should get, how can this really be determined? I plan on ordering an ecig and a bottle of liquid tomorrow but im really not sure if i want low medium or high nicotene, thanks.

It is a bit annoying (I am very new to this also) but it does protect the forum from the many stupid spammers in the cyberworld.

So I would suggest that you post your questions in the new member forum. People are pretty good about responding there.

I believe the flavour loss (certainly with me) is because the PG/VG is affecting my sinuses. A large part (over 90%) of taste is actually smell.

Hold your nose closed and see if you can taste anything!

This loss of flavour has happened to me in a big way. I am sensitive to PG and have switched to VG based liquids (also use some PG liquids cut with VG) but at the moment I cannot really "taste" any of my 12 different flavours :(

However, I can still taste/smell coffee when I drink it, all foods when I eat them etc. It is only E-liquids when vaped that are affected.

It would be interesting if any of you noticed that burnt / dry atomizer taste / smell bfore you lost the flavour?

I was able to taste the liquid to a limited degree on Saturday during the day but after an evening on the booze and fairly heavy vaping I got the dreaded burnt taste and since then I cannot taste my vape at all :(

I forgot something, when I first got my 901, I had a bitter/burned taste. I thought it was the atty but it turned out to be the carts. Not the filling, I washed them as started with new juice, it was the carts themselves. I had to soak them in soap and water and then dunk them in very warm water to rise. The taste was gone! I had 2 new sets, it was only the carts on one of them.
