I've had a few different mods and to be honest the only one I feel totally confident recommending would be the ProVari, they come with a one year warranty with an option to extend it to two years for $24. ProVape will also repair them even if the warranty has lapsed and they have a PDF file with a list of common repair costs on their web site.

Yes there are cheaper units but many have as little as a 30 day warranty, and they are throw away once the warranty expires.

If you just want a Variable Voltage APV and you aren't concerned about the cost then the Provari is certainly a well tried and tested APV and would be my recommendation.

If you wish to have Variable Wattage and/or other features then there are a lot of other options to pick from. All of these below provide both Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage options as well as other features.

If you want a VV that's a little bit less money, and only slightly less accurate than a ProVari, then a Lavatube V2 is a good choice. Also backed by a great company (Volcano E-Cigs) with a 1 year warranty. No option to extend it though.

Mod alone is $79.99... Not too shabby... Starter kit available for $139.99

It's a little bit taller, and a little bit fatter than a ProVari, but every bit as rugged. All aluminum construction, great machine work and detail... It's not a ProVari, but it's a very nice option for the budget conscious who also want some warranty coverage. Worth every dime of 79.99 IMO

If youre looking for a low cost option for Variable Voltage and like box mods I'd suggest these guys. http://custom-xmods.blogspot.com/search/label/Mods%20for%20sale

I'll third or fourth the recommendation of a Provari....buy the extension cap its worth it for the longer battery life and skip the full kit and get a charger, batteries and other accessories from RTDVapor.com.
