Hi,

first of all thanks for reading this post. Second, please don't judge me for not having the budget to get a 200 bucks authentic rda. Ok now let me get to the point..

So, i've been vaping for a while now and guess i'm ready for a rda. Last year or so, i've been using an old-ish genny, with a cotton build at around 1 ohm on a nemesis clone.
So i was looking at all those dripper clones at fasttech and got excited about so many ( vertex, plum veil, veritas, dark horse, magma..). But then i was reading the ft boards, and it seems like there is some kind of problem with all of them. They are either leaking, rusting, materials peeling off, falling apart,...and i don't like that note on most of them " minor parts may made by non-SS ".

Also, seems like most of those new rda's are made for at least dual coil build. I'd really preffer an option for a single coil.

Any ideas what could work for me? I know i could just buy it for as litlle as 10$ an try it out, but i find it hard to convince myself to buy something just to confirm that it doesn't work Oh, and there is also that month+ of waiting and looking forward for that thing, just to get dissapointed..yeah, i've been there before :)

So, any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for reading.

regards, M

I have this one: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1718100

Never had any leaking out the center post, in fact the center post is sealed I think. You can get leaking out the side holes, especially if you drip directly into them, you'll learn how to avoid that quickly. All the leaking issues are reduced when you are running single coil, then you only have one hole to worry about.

Another thing that sets the magma apart from most attys is the screw top, while it may be less convenient dripping, it does however mean thats its never coming off unexpectedly.

Main thing though is that it is a performer flavor wise.

Here's how I would attack this:

1) Get a clone from a domestic seller on eBay. It will be a bit more expensive ($5-10 more), but the wait for items from Fasttech can be tough when you want to get started building. I got a Plume Veil clone off eBay, and it works great. I haven't had it leak out of the deck holes, but avoid wicking between the posts. It's also a pretty standard build, so you can get some practice making coils. Plume Veil Newest Verison V1 5 Atomizer Acerig Stainless Copper RDA Rebuildable | eBay

2) At the same time, order an RDA (or a few, they're pretty cheap) from Fasttech. I really like the Veritas clone. It's a bit more involved on the build, but it's fairly leak resistant, and it puts out great flavor. The shipping will probably take 2-3 weeks, so you'll be glad you have an RDA to work on while waiting for that shipment from China. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1767203

Edit: Just noticed you're in Slovenia, and a US eBay clone would probably take too long. Same strategy, get a cheap local clone first while waiting on the Fasttech order. Good luck!

I agree with Mike, shipping from FT takes forever and a day...

But I'd recommend the magma over the plume veil. PV is a more advanced atty imo. I have one and still haven't figured it out. The magma on the other hand I had kicking serious flavor on my first build, its just that easy. Put coil over airhole, get your wick right and bam your in flavor country. PV can definitely chuck more vapor though. Also may take more power to get a PV running well, magma runs great off an istick.

When I buy cloned I normally look for "logo less" clones. I like to try lots of attys, when I find one I love a lot I tend to spring for the real deal and hand my clones down to friends. Logo less clones are becoming more available these days. Also, check out some of the infinite and wotofo "authentics" the base offa proven model and add their own twist. I have a Freakshow and it's pretty nice, kinda magmaish.

As for the "minor parts not made from SS" normally they are talking about o-rings and insulators etc. I haven't had any rusting issues yet. I am sure you will run across some crap out there but if you look at the vendor of the atty it should help. Like said befor, infinite and Amod (which I believe is wotofo) make good attys.

I run the same one and I can vouch for it. It does actually come apart if you unscrew the center pin. I run a single coil with both air holes open. Minimal leaking, no flaking ect, great atty. The 510 connector is long though so it might cause some threads not to flush on certain mech's, no problems on a Nemi though but something like a Penny if the atty is flushed then the button won't.

Thanks for all the answers! Looks like magma is the winner here, but that 23mm still bothers me. Looks like i'll have to get a new mod as well :D But for now i'm looking at that infinity clt. After, all it is an authentic from a clone company :p Was just wondering if it is possible to run a single coil on it? I see two large air holes on both sides, so i guess dual is a must? I'd preffer to stay at around 1 ohm builds, because i like to use my nemi in 18350 mode..

Also considering venturi https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10011247/1967601-venturi-styled-rda-rebuildable-dripping-atomizer Any ideas about that one? The N22 also cought my eye..oh, so many choices..guess i'll be buying more of them after all :)

I'd suggest an Atomic clone... 20mm... easy to build on... great flavor... and it's not a huge atty... single coil world like a charm...
It's always been one of my top 3 favorites.

I will be one of the first here to say that I really don't like the magma clones I have had... they are wonky... and I really feel like they are better for a dual build... and a lot of power behind them... none of my magma clones had a snug fit on any of my 4 different mods...

---but.... for a little more cash... $30-$40 you can get a nice DOGE from congrevape... and I saw one in the classes.... I like those DOGE atties better than anything else I have... authentic or clone...

I own both an Infinite Magma as well as a Cigna Holmes original. The Holmes is an amazing dripper for under $30 -- larger juice well, adjustable air flow control without having to unscrew the top cap, and absolutely no leaking. The Magma was a bit of a pain as it was hard to line up the holes by hand and it leaked all the time. The Holmes delivers better flavor and more clouds. The only ding I would give it is the threading, but they may have fixed that with v2.

The one I bought was from Vapor DNA -- $29.99 but they probably have a discount code available somewhere -

I don't have a veritas, but I'm nearly certain you can run it single coil.

Yeah you can run a single coil on the veritas.

Got a love hate relationship with that thing. Absolutely HATE building coils on it. Absolutely LOVE the flavor and decent vapor it produces.

Once I've got a nice coil set up on the Veritas, I run it for a long time and just keep re-wicking.
