I think I've given this book out so many times I don't know how many I've bought.
Easy Way to Stop Smoking-by Allen Carr
I know we are vaping, but I would still suggest this book to ANYONE trying to get off analogs, and also staying with vaping. Mr. Carr is pretty famous for this very classic book, and stats say it has a 53% success rate....that's based on clinical trials.
This book is considered "a classic". He explodes the myths and delusions and the psychology is subtle but effective. It's pretty much a book that you can keep on your bedside table, and read a bit every day. It also "works" for other habits, I've found (over-eating, etc.). It puts you in the right "mind-set" and changes the "way you look at things. Many people get 1/2 way thru the book and realize that they have indeed, experienced a very subtle shift in the way thing they think--- about addictions, about freedom, etc. and they say they just stopped smoking entirely!
It is somewhat repetitive, but in an easy going conversational way......and that is exactly what prepares the mind, repetitiion is really not bad. It really helped me deal with the psychological battle that goes on "in your mind".
With christmas coming up, I would say this is a great gift to give anyone thinking about quitting analogs, and also may very well help anyone who is vaping because there are many of us that are in danger of relaspse, or even those working a nicotine step-down program with their vaping, etc.
I think one of the reasons I was able to embrace vaping pretty immediately was because I had been reading this book, little by little, day by day, when I first decided to quit analogs, and made it truly "easy" for me.
