Alleria RTA - Unboxing

Am I the only one who's tried using this while out and about? I got the black one in the mail yesterday and it has leaked in my pocket 3 times so far. After wearing about 10ml of juice and being complimented on my smell, I've come to the conclusion that this atty isn't pocketable. 
The problem (with mine anyway), is that the outer shell that holds it together is just too flimsy to prevent it from becoming out-of-round, which causes it to disengage from the top cap threads. It's too easily squeezed out-of-round in my jeans pocket. That problem is compounded by the lousy threads. I wonder if the SS version is any sturdier...? If you squeeze the top portion of the shell with your fingers, are you able to work the top cap loose? If so, yours is the same.
Sucks... With all the new tanks out now, this see-through chimney is the ONLY game changer, so none of the other new ones did anything for me. I wanted to like this thing, but it's a garage queen. Back to my bulletproof Lemo2 for now...

Make sure that you have seal rings on both the top and bottom of the tank / cage and that the flat part of the ring is facing away from the glass (towards either the base or top cap).
Also make sure that the cage is properly aligned top to bottom. The glass slides in from the top and rests on a lip near the bottom of the cage.
You also shouldn't need to open the juice flow more than 1/2 a turn or so if you're wicking is good.

It's a dud. Not my first rodeo. the o-ring orientation was obvious from the get go. I deal with o-rings daily for a living.
The cage is idiot-proofed with different thread sizes top vs bottom, so it isn't that either. I think I got a bad batch. My ebay seller is going to personally QC a replacement (SS this time) instead of sending me another POS.

I only have the stainless and can't imagine the cage warping from anything other than brute force.

I had to reply after i saw this. I just got a dud Bachelor tank, and i posted a similar thing...back to my bulletproof Lemo 2
In fact i got so ....ted off at having 3 tanks in a row with issues/defects (Crown/Kaees Landmark/Bachelor) that i asked a friend of mine with a few spare Lemo 2's (he's a collector of the almighty things) if i could snag one. I need the madness to end, and vape gear manufacturers need to lift their game...3 tanks in a row with defects is an appalling negative hit ratio...
Having said that, i have been following this tank since the announcement, i am finger hovering on the order button (a bit)
Yeah, the Lemo 2 will always have a place in my rotation. When you can fill it in literally 5 seconds, it's hard to find a better on-the-go tank.
I got my replacement Alleria SS in the mail yesterday. It's interesting how much different looking the packaging is. Maybe the black one was a clone...?
I'll try to find time to build on it this weekend, but since I just got a new (4k)TV, I'll be busy cleaning/wiring up the entertainment center.

Quick update: the SS version works perfectly. Beware the black version.
It's a great little tank. It's gotta be filled often, but I expected that. I admit I'm spoiled when it comes to filling because of the Lemo2. Everything else just seems an unnecessary fuss.

I picked up a Silver one at the local B&M this last weekend. I like the dual glass design - kinda cool. Gotta love the build deck - I think all my future tank purchases will have this style of build posts. Ok amount of capacity, good air flow (wide open), fairly easy to wick (I use rope).
The top fill so far has been an epic failure for me. While others mention "juice flow control" a quick peek at the tank itself shows there is none - no amount of twisting/turning is going to shut off the 4 juice channels on the bottom. The good news is that there is room enough between the inner glass and outside glass/cage for a standard bottle tip. I've been just removing the deck on the bottom and carefully refilling between the two glass parts. (bottom fill) This way I've not had a single leak!

If you're flooding while top filling then you don't have enough wick blocking the channels. If you're flooding while tightening the top cap down, it's because you have to flip it upside down just before the top two O-rings make the seal, then tighten it all the way. That forces air through the wicking channels instead of liquid. This is basic top-fill 101 stuff. I rarely lose more than 3-4 drops.
Ahhh yes... I have to remember this is not a side fill Lemo2 (which I rarely get any leaks) or a Crius which requires no juggling (as it has effective Juice control). The Griffin almost has it right but still requires the inversion shortly after filling.
I just pull the deck on mine and fill between the two glass parts. No leaks. I use rope stuffed in there 'just right' so it wicks well in use and does not require being upright all the time. Nice RTA, I think its found a home on a Dani #6. My very runny 60/40 mix challenges many wicking situations.
