I've found that water and a mint/menthol vape gets me through it. Seems to happen fairly often for me so I have 3 different mint flavors to pick from. MBV's Chocolate frost is my fav vape tongue remedy.Or Good Life's Dorie Pattie is another. Both are nice mints with a side of chocolate.

It will pass.....

Same thing. Mine all used to taste sort of metallic or sour!
I was wondering about this metallic taste and what it was from. I guess I too have vapors tongue. Was thinking my battery was going to blow up or something lol
OP you are lucky because you have some menthol, I have to order some for times like this.

Being that you're in Canada, I highly recommend Siberian Winter by Maple Leaf Vapes, if you haven't tried it and like a strong menthol. Very refreshing!

unfortunately, yes. it can happen time and time again. vary your flavors and drink beverages so your tongue wont get super saturated with flavor.

i have a certain flavor that i enjoy so much, i can get vapers tongue off of it quite easily now. as soon as i fill up the tank, i just hammer it down uncontrollably lol. by the second tank, i just look at the juice and say "why?"

i do think it happens with certain flavors more than others (perhaps more complex flavors?). and menthol seems to be damn near impervious to vapers tongue. my guess is because menthol is more of a sensation rather than a flavor. i mean, it is both, but its got that dual identity thing going on. my fiance literally vapes nothing but NLV Cold Creek menthol and she never complains of flavor loss. 2.5 yrs of hammering away at that same menthol and still no flavor loss.

:ohmy: That's NOT the answer I wanted!:laugh: I do always have a drink at hand, brush teeth and tongue multiple times a day and my rotation is 5 flavors with at least 6 more thrown in just for a change. You'd think that would be enough to keep it at bay, but not so.:mad:

Funny, you said fiance' has used the same menthol juice for over 2 years with no problem. I was a menthol smoker for 42+ yrs, but got bored with my menthol juice having to use it for 2 days! When I told that to my best friend, she said "you never said that about your cigarettes.":laugh: True, but 2 days with the juice and I wanted more flavors. :blush:

Happened to me at the 2 month point...awful. That's when I went on a juice buying spree...didn't help. It will pass but those taste buds are ornery little critters. You might consider some unflavored juice. It won't satisfy the critters, but it will be a sort of truce.

I second that!

Go unflavored for a while;

I think your taste buds are returning and you might just be tasting stuff that was always there; might want to try a different brand of carto if you'll still getting the taste with unflavored.

If you have any clearos, try that and see if there's a difference.

The big reason I never stuck with the cartos is because of the taste of the filler in them, although I do like the carto type systems (I hope to get a sophia one day)

Well, spoke too soon. Apparently the only reprieve from the vaper's tongue I'm gonna get is about a day and a half. Juices were tasting great again...next evening they're horrible again. This blows! If this is how it's gonna be, I may as well give up vaping right now. If I'm only gonna get a day or two per week where this is tolerable, let alone enjoyable, what's the point?

Are you staying properly hydrated? My advice for getting over, and never getting "the tongue" again - drink more water than you thought humanly possible, and it will pass with time.
