You could need a couple of goes at reading all this!
Hope your Strawberry Milkshake arrived! Sounds nice.
Your Cocomel seems to be taking a while to sort itself out.
I've had a number that weren't good on arrival and didn't improve much for keeping either, but not that many I've had a repeat of to tell whether they can vary or not.
With LT, if you look on their home page, they have the new ones as 5ml samples shown on there in a small paragraph on the middle of the page. They're also amongst the 'new items' and if you plough through the 10ml bottles, you'll also see the 5ml sample sizes amongst them. Those have a PG mix in them though so I always get the 10ml bottles and ask for VG.
even if you only get the new sample ones, their postage is sensible.
Good idea to take a look at the beginning of each week as they usually appear then if there are any.
However, I got my CV order yesterday, and the three new ones I tried were really nice. Last night I needed to top up my Jamaican Ginger, and needed to use some from the new 30ml bottle. It tasted odd ..a bit like dirty or burnt oil. I assumed it was the new Evod, so drained it out and soaked it in mild warm water/detergent. I got another Evod - same! I tried it in a previously used Evod - same, tried a new CE5 - same. Couldn't all have a problem!
So, I then turned to putting a bit of two of the other new ones into small clearomisers ready to try today.
It was as that point that I noticed the label on all the new 10ml and three 30ml bottles: 35PG/65VG! I'd asked for 100% VG (apart from flavouring). Now if that would make the Jamaican Ginger taste so different I don't know. I'd only ever used it in a small clearomiser on a smaller battery before.
I've put some of that Jamaican Ginger in a Vision Nano clearomiser on an eSmart battery today and it's tasting a lot better
most of time ....still a hint of the dirty/oily flavour now and then but not much. Odd!
So, I tried the other two I'd left ready this morning: Orange custard Creams & Confusion, and they don't taste brilliant - not like the other one, but more like 'not as I'd expect' (Orange Custard Creams), or very little taste of anything (Confusion)! Perhaps they need steeping though. I went on to try the last new one- Spottedick: has a hint of dried fruit and suet pudding, but not enough to form an opinion ..again, I'll leave it a week.
Seeing they're partly PG though, they could get to be more of a problem for me: eczema getting more visible on my face after yesterday & today. I've sent an email to CV.
This is what I've said about the other flavours in another thread:
Hawaiian Pud: lovely sweet pineapple flavour together with the sponge and a light creaminess! Very nice. More pineapple syrup than tart fruit. I do like this one!
Strawberry Vapetto: first taste is those lovely toasty/nutty waffle wafer cones, the strawberry is light and not over-done, and the fresh but creamy ice cream follows. Very nice also, and this is another keeper!
The only other Strawberry one I have gives me a tightness in my throat, but not this one - it's lovely.
Apple Pie & Irish Cream custard: at first I thought the pie crust came first with warm, lightly flavoured, I think very lightly spiced apples, and cream custard laced gently with warm alcohol. Again, rather nice.
I later realised that the first flavour had become a spicy
dried apple slices taste together with the pastry, custard and a very light Irish cream hint. It's unusual and I keep going back to it very happily! I reckon another I'll buy more of.
All these could alter a bit or improve to be even better with waiting, so we'll see!
So far, none have a definite sense of one flavour, but seem to incorporate all that they're supposed to be nicely. To me, they're lovely without being overpowering in any way.
They seem to have a signature running through them but are all individual - must be the CV style coming through
I've actually ordered a few more: RY, Banoffee, Twisted, Jungle Juice & Fluffy Nuts. Think that's just about all of theirs that look like they'll suit me. I'm very impressed with them so far - just hope I get 100% VG sorted out with this new one! My first order was perfect.
I've got three Vapology ones to try, but sniffing them, think they do need to steep for a while.
My Snake Oil may be here tomorrow! They phoned yesterday and told me they could add my 0.6nicotine to some 0 nicotine they have if I didn't want to wait another week, so I said that was fine!
I'm looking forward to trying that one!
Got my antennae up for SteamGunk after hearing about Snickerdoodle - I emailed and asked about VG and she replied that they don't have any VG nicotine base to do that at the moment but will have in a few weeks if I try again. So, I reasoned that if I don't like something, it doesn't matter if it has PG in it, I won't use much, so a few samples seem in order!
Had a breakage problem with two eSmart clearomisers today - not sure if it's what I had in them (a standard Cappuccino) or if a faulty batch ..will have to investigate!
Yes, it's been daunting at times getting various problems. The PG was a hard one to deal with, but once with VG, the many problems went as long as I kept clear of some of the vanilla/custard ones once I had those breathing attacks.
Sorting and sifting through equipment variations is vary varied too, but I'll get there.
the reason I kept going? I had my first cigarette at 15 (albeit only occasionally then) but it increased as I got older. In the past two years, a number of stressful family situations caused me to go from 25 to 35 per day. Add that to the smell of cigarette smoke, the nagging, the general air of being a social outcast, and being bombarded with unwanted 'pill pushing' by doctors and nurses and I'd had enough! I still didn't think I could stop though - I'd tried before. It happened literally by accident, but once realised, there's no way I'd gladly go back to cigarettes again. It feels like too big an achievement.
Can't say it's been much cheaper

...not yet, but it will be as I'm just about sorted with liquid and equipment that suits me.
