This brought back memories since I was stationed in Hawaii back in the day.

Good on em. BTW, there are no "Ex" Marines. Just trying to be accurate. And a 9 pack a day habit incountry? I doubt it. Must be a typo.

HONOLULU -- Ex-marine Kamal Yassine beat a 9-pack-a-day cigarette habit in Iraq, after finding his first electronic cigarette on the internet. Now he even feels safe puffing the water vapor smoking device with his toddler in his arms. The electronic cigarettes come in many brands, but basically share the same technology. An electric element vaporizes nicotine into water which can be inhaled while the cigarette or cigar-like shape creates a true smoking sensation, without most of the negative impacts of burning cigarettes.

The entire story

You have to think of this situation.Light up,take two drags,incoming fire-toss smoke.Light up,take a drag,possible threat-toss smoke.

Get the picture.

Edit:My dad is a painter for the government/private contractor. He smokes 5 packs a day.The reason he smokes 5 packs a day is he smokes half a cig then goes back inside to work. So, on average he may actually smoke 2 packs a day by way of smoking half or less of each cig.

That's a good thing because 5 packs a day will put a huge dent in your wallet...

Pretty even-handed news coverage. A few mistakes ("water vapor" isn't completely accurate and Njoy isn't proven any safer than Chinese ecigs, nor are they made entirely of US/Britian-made parts.)

I am curious what "court ruling ended a ban on imports from China."

If he's speaking of SE vs. FDA, then that's not entirely accurate, either.
