Alright what gives, wiggley inside circle thing, 510 batt

OK so I guess this batt is down... sigh... I thought it would die out due to battery just not taking a charge anymore.

The circle thing inside the threaded part of the batt is loose and wiggley.. Didn't think I ever really tightened it too much or anything...

This a common issue?

the circle thing is the contact post for the batt... & is insulated from the rest of the batt casing via a rubber gromet-- so wiggle is kinda normal

I think the gromet is gone, deteriorated... The cart won't make contact/or makes weak contact. Thus either not working well or not working at all.

I'm not sure if I can fix it or not.

Some carts have a higher contact than others and the connection is not as good. Also, if your rubber gromet is gone, you may be leaking juice into the battery which will kill it in pretty short order.
