Hi there! I like the method of cleaning the cartomizers with vodka.Boiling is okay but you have the buckling problem. The problem I have is that I don't trust myself to keep vodka in my house. Is there something else I could use instead that would sterilize them and that I wouldn't be tempted to drink. It's not that I don't have any self control, it's just why risk it?

What is the bucking problem? I boil all of my kr808d-1 cartomizers and it seems fine.

I think I would be safe with Polident!

Buckling is probably the wrong word. I only did five or so and they kinda warped. The cap would not fit back in them.

Maybe you boil them too long? My cartomizers do not warp at all, caps can be refit without any problem. I boil them for about 10 minutes at max. Or you have different cartomizers maybe.

I don't like to boil cartos.

Seems that it locks in bad tastes they way hot water can lock in a stain. I just rinse them in cold water and blow them out. Then give them a white vineger rinse and then another rinse.

For realy tough tastes, I will put a few drop of 2% Hydrogen Peroxide in the carto after the first rinse and then do the cold water rinse - vineger - cold water rinse.

Frisco, you have to remove the end caps prior to boiling your cartos. They can't be boiled. And I agree with the above suggestions; they don't need a long boil. A good soak/rinse/blowout (repeat as needed) in boiling water should be enough. Some folks use Everclear, but you may not want to have this around either. ;)

Never tried denture cleaners. Sounds interesting. Wouldn't it leave a minty taste behind? I have tons of those tablets--my kids clean their retainers with them. I might give it a try...

Coolone1 ... I loved your video and your syringe technique, great idea!!! My sister just started vaping 5 days ago. I had suggested she get a KR808 and when it arrived she loved it from the very first "vape". In fact she hasnt had an analog since then. I am going to send her a link to your video so she can see your syringe method, she'll love it .. thank you!

I live very close to where you live Coolone1 .. do you happen to know if we have an e-cig actual "storefront" nearby?

citric acid- most vitamin stores/isles have it... 1 tsp in 2 cups or so of hot (near boiling) water.... soak and periodically agitate for an hour or so.

Rinse well and dry them out...

works similar to vinegar without the odor.

Haven't tried it on cartos but can't imagine it being an issue.
LoAnns sells it and lists it as a flavor enhancer.......
