So i made my first mod a few days ago. its made out of a Altoids can, with a 18650 battery and a sealed 510 connector. has a N.O. momentary switch and with a A7 on in wrapped at 1.2Ω hits great. wiring is messy and got messy with the epoxy but it works and i think itll be able to take some abuse. photo (3).jpgphoto (4).jpgphoto (2).jpg

I've got an Altoids Smalls tin staring at me, whispering "14500 with a recessed connector." :) The only problem I'm worried about is how to notch the lid without leaving a sharp edge.

Something like this? Start off with the snips, and then take a file or Dremel grinding bit to it. Easy as sin. Just make sure you put the button up high enough for the battery compartment...this was a tight squeeze.

Close, I'm using a 14500 and a 2 ohm, 35mm carto with about 1/4" showing out of the box. I'd like to use a tac switch but Madvapes doesn't sell the kit with the needed mosfet board and I'm clueless as to what ones I could use that would be small enough. I'll probably end up using one of these. They are only rated for 1/2 amp but have held up ok in other mods I've made plus I have 6 of them here.

I saw this thread Friday night, and Saturday I decided to go get a medium-small roadiooshack project box and have at it using 2x 18650s, a 15A momentary switch, 10AWG copper wiring, and a 510 adapter. Directly soldering everything together worked rather well and resulted in a .07V drop at .8ohms. 0.013 ohm wiring and switch losses for the win!
