Well, I did it... I made the concisous decision to upgrade from analog to digital nicotine enjoyment. I just recently discovered the cancer history in my family as it relates to smoking (I was adopted), and it scared me enough to want to make a change. After lurking and perusing this great forum and reading posts from veterans I decided to go with a 510 from a great Chinese supplier and it's on it's way right now. I also have a passthrough and and PCC coming along as well.

I live down here in a very remote Costa Rican town and most mail deliveries take weeks no matter what service you use. This means that I need to really stock up between orders and make sure I have adequete supplies. So I had a couple of questions for the more informed vets out there.

1.) I got 320 ml of juice, how long would this last a chain smoker turned vaper?

2.) How many months can I expect to get out of 5 510 atomizers and 4 batteries? I plan on doing weekly maintenence to help keep the atty alive.

Basically the reason for the questions is that I need to know if I should order more supplies before the first shipment even arrives. I appreciate any input I can get on this as this forum has been a great source of info and entertainment for me in the last month or so!

Hello Doctor Who and welcome to the forum.

You can judge your usage once you get your 510. Most use anywhere from 2-5 ml per day. So if you use 3 ml, 320 would last you approximately 106 days.

Attys and batteries are hard to judge, some last months, some last days and some are DOA. Since you also ordered a PCC and passthrough, you should be good to go for a while.

Good luck.

You are set for several months with that amount of juice IMO.

If I were you (with the time scales you have to cope with when ordering), I would grab another stack of atties and a few more batteries as soon as your finances allow it.

Same with the juice, but I think you are set for several months with what you have...so I would make that my second priority - have a good vape of all the flavours you've bought and decide wahat you really enjoy before buying another big stash.

Happy vaping. :)

That's probably not enough! You need to order at least 2 or 3 of everything out there and then start looking at mods and of course you want to try DIY on the liquid so you will also need additional supplies for that, then....... Just kidding, sort of. You should be set for the time being until you know exactly how much you vape.

Glad to see you again, Doctor.

1.) I got 320 ml of juice, how long would this last a chain smoker turned vaper?

It depends, in large part, on the strength of the juice. If it's high strength 24 mg+, then I'd agree with the previous poster who estimated 106 days. Be sure to pick up some pharma grade PG and or VG to dilute the juice, just in case you find it to be too strong.

2.) How many months can I expect to get out of 5 510 atomizers and 4 batteries? I plan on doing weekly maintenence to help keep the atty alive.

5 atomizers might last you 5 weeks or 5 years... it's impossible to tell. However, since you like to smoke a lot, and will probably vape a good deal, I'd guess they'd last about 2 to 6 weeks each. As far as weekly maintainence goes, most have found that preventive cleanings probably do more harm than good, aside from letting them drain out overnight, every few days. 4 Batteries, if they are the manual style, should last you about 2 to 3 months. If they are automatic batts, then they are liable to not last as long.

Basically the reason for the questions is that I need to know if I should order more supplies before the first shipment even arrives. I appreciate any input I can get on this as this forum has been a great source of info and entertainment for me in the last month or so!

All in all, I'd guess you've got a minimum of 6 weeks worth of vaping supplies.

I must second the advice of those who suggest that once you are sure of the 510, to make a major purchase of atomizers (20 or so) and extra batteries, unless you decide to build or buy a battery mod.

Best of Luck,

Jherek (AKA ----- THE MASTER)

I have just 1 cent of advice... don't buy too many ecig batteries 1 you may decide to get a mod that uses higher mah (charge capacity) batteries meaning last longer between charges

and 2unless you plan on rotating through all of those batteries (meaning owning mor than lets say 6) some of them may die in storage if you never use them

imho, you should wait and see if the 510 is the model for you, before buying a lot of attys and batts i have a 510 and love it, a lot of people do but some don't if you decide it is the model for you i would have a minimum of 20 attys and 10 batts as backupquote]

:evil:seriously!!!!:evil::mad::mad::mad:OMG! why so many?8-o[/quote]

Cause, if there's a ban, the cost might go up significantly and they may be harder to acquire:rolleyes:

yes shRIMP you are just for being concerned about the ban... and as far as atties I 100% agree, but ecig batts? if that were the case a PV that takes regular li-ion cells would be the better choice... since IF a ban would include ecig batteries... it most definately wouldn't include li-ion batts used for the PVs

I agree with you duck:D Didn't know if he was going to get into mods yet:) As long as he has attys he'll be o.k.:) I think 10 is a reasonable amt for back up batts:D

I find it depolorable and quite depressing that people who belong to a supposedly "free" country constantly have to worry about their government banning something they enjoy. It's one of the reasons I moved down here to an actual free country. If there ever were a ban put in place, it certainly wouldn't extend to here. E cigs are actually being reccommended and endorsed by the health ministry here. Big Tobbacco and Big Pharma haven't really the influence here that they do up north. Alot of other things are decriminalized here as well, but that's another story...

I want to thank everyone again for their warm support and informed responses to my query.

Jherek: Pleasure to see you again as well, my friend!
