am i allergic to PG

I have been vaping for a while now i have a sigelei 150 watt and troll rda but i have noticed that i get a bad throat pain just lingering when i vape sometimes i have gotten used to it for the most part i think but i still wonder if this is an allergic reaction to PG or just the throat hit it puts out

I don't think I'm allergic to pg but over 50/50 VG/PG makes my throat raw. 20vg/80vg is a mellow place for me. get some usp vg (wallyworld) and add a few drops at a time.

How much do you vape? What is your PG/VG ratio? Your nicotine level? And do you mouth to lung or lung hit?

I vape 2mg nic and usually between 70/30-90/10 vg pg. Unless i buy juice by an actual line

I've found I get a sore throat from PG based juices. I've tried a variety of mixes and discovered the lower the PG percentage the better I was. So I tend to use Johnson Creek's PG free line the most. I'm still at 24mg mostly but I'm in the process of switching down to 18mg as time goes on. I use about 9 different flavors and I'm reducing as I replace bottles.

There may be a couple of things you can try.

First, drink more water. Not pop, not coffee, water. You may just be dehydrated.

Second, try turning down the wattage a bit as you may be vaping too hot which can irritate your throat.

You are vaping a low pg juice so I am pretty sure it's not an allergic reaction.

People oftentimes just don't stay hydrated enough so try that first.
