Am I doing it all wrong?

Again, I didn't read all the replies, so maybe someone already suggested this, but rather than trying to dilute the high nic juice with vg or water, I'd just buy a zero nic juice of the same flavor and mix it with that. Doing the water/vg thing is a science, and easy to mess up. Totally doable, but maybe not so much if you're new to vaping.

I didn't read all the replies, but did someone mention that you can buy automatic (no button) batteries? I prefer them, except when it's time to prime a new coil. (Can't prime it with an auto battery, since it'll fire up and scorch the wick.) Anyway, yeah... Manual batteries are a pain. (First world problems. Haha!)

yes

we call them cigalikes. not sure if there are others.

be forwarned, the battery life sucks, they need replacing and recharging often, they're under powered for most of what's on the market, you may have to carry around the "pack" to charge them and they could be costly in comparison to other gear given how often they'll have to be replaced.

but if that's a priority for you, i'm sure someone can suggest something for you to try.

Aha! I had it on upside down! Now that I've reversed it, it's not jingling anymore! Why on earth do you people hafta have so much jargon? Someone else referred to an "atty"; I've never seen that word in any of my reading, nor have I heard it in any of the YouTube videos. This "beauty ring" is a collar, why can't it just be a "collar"? Why create some confusing nomenclature? Why does all of this hafta be so confusing? I was forced to STUDY before I could purchase this stupid thing. It really shouldn't be this hard. Seriously.

You'll get it all down, and the jargon will be fun. Before you know it, you'll know the difference between RTAs, RDAs, OCCs, BCCs, BVCs, BDCs, cartomizers, clearomizers, egos, 510s, etc. Frustrating at first, but this group will teach you everything you need to know. Hang in there! :)

There are others, besides the cigalikes. I have a big, automatic ego. Much more battery life than the cigalikes I own.

learn something new every day. thank you very much. is there a name for this particular ego?

not to be a debbie downer, but IMO, much (if not all) of the aforementioned still applies.

i tend not to focus on egos and don't know much about them because it is my opinion that with the publics general knowledge of battery safety and the demand of todays toppers, egos are the single handed most dangerous devices on the market for vaping today.

not that you have to agree. dunno why, just thought, i'd explain why my ignorance on this topic is possible.

If you're looking for something more like a cigarette (light and small), you should check these out, Binky. Refillable tank and pass-thru charging. I have one, and it's my favorite setup (out of everything I own, which is a lot): https://www.eleafus.com/e-cigarette/ikiss.html

You can get either a manual or automatic battery, but I haven't found the automatic in the United States. I had to order mine from Germany. (These things are quite popular there.) I have the manual battery pen, which I ordered from the link above, but I ordered two automatic battery pens from the link below, along with two charging cases. (They come with a pass-thru charge cord, but I think the cases are pretty neat.)
Anyway, I looooove this product. It's lighter than the typical cartomizer cigalikes. Closest thing to the feel of a real cigarette I've found, besides the crappy Mark 10 cigalikes. Plus, huge vapor for its size!

It's both ego and 510 compatible. Just a generic no-name. I got it off eBay for $5. Doesn't work with the Nautilus shown in the pic, because the Nauti doesn't have an air canal to the battery, like most tanks. But I put it there for size comparison. Same size as my manual Ego-C Twist, and same battery life.

No information there on battery capacity (mAh) or tank capacity.
Do you happen to know where to find that information?

EDIT: So far I have found that the automatic battery is 220 mAh

I couldn't find anything on the web, but I filled mine with a syringe just now, and it's about 0.7 mL. Maybe a tiny bit more, since I had a couple drops of juice in there after I emptied it. Anyhow, it's not big, but it lasts much longer than any of my cartomizers.

The battery doesn't last long, but it hasn't been an issue for me because of the pass-thru charging.

And the cloud is incredible for its size. It rivals my Nautilus.
