Carto type: Made by BogeTech (510 - 3.2ohms according to madvapes, I havent tested yet)
Fill method: Condom method - let sit for 24hrs - added a couple drops in the top to ensure was good n wet
Using either eGo battery OR 5V PT with them
juice: 24mg Hawaiian Delight

I am getting hardly any vapor with these cartos! Even on a 5V PT, which would usually cause a burnt taste in them, these dont seem to kick out much vapor at all... I've tried short puffs, long puffs, puffing then setting down and sitting for a minute before attempting again, etc. I can feel the warmth when I puff on it (from 5V PT) but still very little flavor/very little vapor.

What am I doing wrong? Or is the answer nothing...

Something that just came to mind: Are carto's typically weaker in TH/Vapor than a regular cart? (THAT would pretty much close my issue - knowing that a carto performs at a lower standard than a regular 510+cart).

Overfilling: That's kinda what I was thinking...so I continued to vape it (as I would a normal 510 cart) until I got that 'I'm out of fluid and going to crap in your mouth' flavor that these lovelies give us when they're running dry.... Vapor didnt improve nor did TH, etc. I have only experienced it before when my eGo battery was close to dead - but with a 5v PT it removes that variable.

Juice being used: TopVapor Hawaiin Delight 24mg
Madvapes describes it as: TopVapor e-liquid is a blend of PG, VG, natural organic alcohol based flavorings and may contain nicotine.
So I'm not honestly sure what the PG/VG mix is in it.

I do also use a LR 510 (drip) on the eGo battery, and another 510 regular(with cart) on the PV - both produce a great TH and vapor with this juice....so I'm tempted to think carto's may just not be my thing.

I didn't think to much of them either until I gave them another shot here recently. It may be a bad batch, but I'd keep tinkering with them just in case. I swear it sounds like an airflow issue. How tight is the drag?

That would have been my second guess, but I saw your post after I posted mine...

slyp... yes cartos are not for everyone and you definitely wont have the same experience as your LRs. TH is another story and that is subjective, but you should be getting some nice vapor (even if you can't get plooms like your LRs )

Airflow was a tad odd. At first it was wide open, then it rapidly closed off (similar to when an atty is used a LOT).... so I loosened it up a tad - too much at first as the PT started just blinking when activated. So I tightened it a bit more and viola - worked again.

To be honest, and after reading your responses, I suspect this might be me. I've only been vaping for 30 days (today - woohoo! 1 month analog free! Go eGo Go!).... and I started using LR atty's about 1 week ago. I am still going through withdrawl from analogs and at times will vape like a ....-head trying to curb the need for the analog-lung-hit I crave. It's honestly possible (and likely) that cartomizers are something I should look at using in a month or so...as they dont seem to perform as well as drip/LR's/510's on a 5v PT - and right now with the jones I have, performance and TH are critical to me not flipping out and setting everything around me on fire. hahah...

I think I'm going to box the rest of these up and set them aside for a month or two. Perhaps time will adjust what my vape needs are, and then a cartomizer may match my needs with its performance.

That's probably a good guess. I craved big hits when I was setting down the analogs. I wouldn't quit until I got one. There's nothing wrong with leaning on your pv like a crutch during this rough patch of getting over that old sensation cigs gave you. Hell, mine was completely welded to my face for months. Now, I forget where I put it sometimes and end up not using it for hours on end just because it's out of sight. You're on the right track. Congrats on one month.
