Am I doing something wrong?

Got my kit (came with 2 clearos), and a pack of 5 boge 2ohm cartos.

The clearos are doing great so far (1 day). Great vapor, great taste, no leaks yet.

The first two boge cartos are already burnt.
First one I filled from the top, did a spin, filled some more and let it sit for about an hour. First few drags tasted very burnt, now it doesn't fire. So I figured that I may have fired it dry and screwed it up.
Second one I did a condom fill, let it sit for about 10 minutes, topped off from the top, and let it sit another 10 minutes. Same result -- burnt taste and smell, doesn't work any more.
The juice is 50/50 PG/VG, so not that thick. The battery is 3.7V

Am I correct to assume that it's a bad batch of cartos, or did I do something wrong?

Some of the Boge cartos are having quality control issues lately, so it is most likely a bad batch.

Very possible a bad batch of cartos. I got a batch of bad 1's a month or so ago. Where did you get them from?

I think Boge may be running into a bind and needs to cut corners to survive.

They may have changed the filler and changed assembler. I've noticed the change myself.

Do the condom fill method with one of the older long seals, flood the tube and fill it all the way to the brim, and let it set overnight. Blow it out before using and you should be good. Has worked for me.

This is very timely info as I was getting ready to order a 5 pack of cartos. If boge is having QC issues, what is the go to brand now?

While there's a chance that I did something wrong, I'd rather not give the vendor bad rep. The rest of the order is great

Boges will still work fairly decent if you load them in the manner I mentioned. I actually prefer the Kanger horizontal single coil cartos right now. Not as cheap as the Boges, but do well. I use these on my smaller batteries in stealth mode.

So, out of 5-pack, 2 burned right away. The other 3 I loaded from the top with 100% PG and spun them. One would not fire at all, even though the contact connects, the other two are working.

I'm not a carto user but, I saw elsewhere that boge tried a different filler and it was a major fail. They've gone back now but, the old ones are still in the system.

Back when I was using cartos I never liked the boge, and this was before their qc issues, what I preferred then was the Kanger horizontal bottom coils.
