I have been vaping for over a year and have never had this problem. I just got my first 510 and within a day, at 3.7v (not even using a hv mod) the end of the cart (the bottom of the part that holds the filler) has melted. Is this normal? I have never had this happen, not even on a hv mod with a 901 or an 801. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to align the cart perpendicular to the bridge. The cart end is an oval with 2 flat sides. Line the cart up parallel to the coil. The coil is in the white ceramic bowl below the bridge. Put the round edges of the cart next to the coil bowl. This is the highest area of heat. If you put the cart parallel to the bridge that will put the flat side of the cart closest to the coil and it will melt.
