Hi barbj!

IMO: If I were you I'd get some lower nicotine mg juice in a different flavor.

The headache could be one of two things; most likely you are ODing on nicotine, but you just might (maybe maybe) be having a reaction to the PG based juice - if that's what you're using.

As for the flavor: it's just totally subjective. There's no way to know what you'll like until you try a bunch of them - just like with anything you taste (iced cream, beer, veggies, you get the picture)

If I may ask, how much did you smoke before? I like 24mg, but I was a long time smoker of about 3/4 pack filters a day. A lot of people like 12 or 18 mg though (even heavy smokers - 24mg is pretty powerful stuff)

Good Luck!

Took me a couple days to learn 24mg was too much for me - nic headaches aren't funny, nor is 'the runs' (nic OD is thankfully fairly self-limiting)
I smoked a pack of ultra lights a day and do fine on 12mg - I would definitely get some lower juice strengths and find a fun flavor of a real food item you enjoy, like apples or maple syrup or something. Anything sweet would also be able to be mixed in with your current juice which would
a. cut the original nic level
and b. mean you arent wasting the carts/cartos/juice you bought already

Oh.
I don't know how their juice compares to the V4L juice that I get.

Another thing I noticed is that when switching to vaping, people should drink enough liquids too. I mean, people should drink enough liquids always either way, but it's a little more helpful to maintain good hydration after switching to ecigs.

Hi barb, I have a KR808D1 too. Yeah, you just drip liquid into the cartos until the filler is nice and wet. You also need to keep 'em wet, or they can give a funky burnt taste that doesn't go away.

What I do these days is I use 901 atomizers instead, as they screw right onto our batteries and work fine. I also keep some cartos on hand for long trips, as they last pretty long.

I started vaping over 8 months ago with a 510 and 901. I was surviving on 24mg and Advil. You need to drink plenty of water and lower the nic. With 18mg for me the headaches are almost nonexistent (I need more liquids myself). As for refilling your cartomizers, do a search for refilling cartomizers on this forum and youtube. I use the condom method, but after refilling I blow out the carto, remove the end cap and ring and dry the excess from the end cap (helps to prevent juice mouth). I also get good results from removing the cap and ring and filling with a syringe. For me cartos are far better than any other atty type.

Water. No one drinks enough water anymore. One of the healthiest things one can do is drink a big glass of water when they wake up...8 hours of breathing w/o adding fluids tends to dry things out. Especially for vapors, as the PG buildup on the throat can cause discomfort for a few mins when one wakes up. Unless they drink WATER.

I like the 901 and dripping way better than cartos and carts. It's really easy -- just drip two drops of liquid into the atomizer, and vape away. It'll keep you going for about one or two cigs worth of puffing.

Well, one or two cigs is only between 7 and 18 inhales(for me), I just realized. Two months ago, when I smoked the last cigarette, I actually counted the inhales, and it was only around 9 or less.

But which are the top three model numbers for atomizer dripping? And which ones have you (or someone) tried? And is it really possible to not have to drip every 15 inhales if you use blue foam like I hear sometimes?

Well, I've tried the PTB mod, and didn't like it because no matter what i did it seemed I would pull off a used cart and the filler would stick to the bridge of the atty, pulling it out of the cart and making a mess. I haven't tried the blue foam cart mod.

I would say that the top three most used attys for dripping are 510, 801, and 901... but that's because they seem to be the three most common in use. I'm sure the 401 is up there, too. I've personally only used 901s, as they work with the equipment I own.

Comparing between dripping and carts on the 901, the dripping wins hands down for me. No inconsistent juice feeds from the cart, just a nice wet atty and vaping goodness... though it is inconvenient while driving. I'm usually good for 20-30 minute trips when dripping (I can usually count on getting stuck at a light long enough to put a few drops in when needed), but longer highway drives are when I resort to cartos.
