So i have been vaping for 4 months now, and after a month of struggle between cigs and vaping, I finally gave up cigs (well one pack on my trip in Indonesia)...but I do not crave them anymore at all. There is no more throat hit, no great sensation, etc..and it smells horrible....that being said though, when I run out of juice, cartos, etc I GO BEZERKKKKK. I am stationed out here on the island of guam and it wasn't until about a month ago vape shops started popping up around this island. I have and always will order juice from MTBakervapor....cant beat the quantity and the options of pg/vg and mg of nic. So I still own two eGO batteries and have moved up from one time use cartomizers to rebuildable ones from the T2 which were great to a bottom coil which in my opinion took away from the taste I was getting. Well here on island people do not just use tanks, they all just drip and vape, and see who can blow the largest cloud...all the shops rarely sell any tanks and if they do they are pricey. So here are these overpriced batteries and guys building their own coils and cotton and dripping and vaping all day. Am I missing out? I mean I feel safe with my basic set up, but could I be getting better flavor with something else...better batteries, maybe the adjustable ones with a different tank. I am a chain vaper tooo so this thin stays on my lip and I burn out a new carto like almost daily so I run into the not ordering enough and freaking out when nothing comes in on time....can you guys give your options, what you use, and how you like it? how can I get the best flavor....? with best throat hit and less burn outs?

I use a mechanical mod and learned to rebuild my dripper watching youtube and asking friends. Mechanical mods are recommended for more experienced vapors for a few reasons. One being some people can't handle the big hit of a mod and dripper. However, the hit will be adjusted by how the dripper is built and how big the air hole or holes are. Imho the main difference is with a mechanical mod you will blow clouds.

The main reason that mechs and RBA's are recommended to experienced vapers is Battery safety, being able or not to withstand the hit that these thing puts out is of no real worry.

It is less about experienced users than it is about knowledgeable users...

These devices requires special attention from the uses that the ego's and other protected variable volt/watts/ device do not need.

If you intend to venture into this world I strongly suggest that you read this information and keep on researching until you understand all the risks involved.

Yes you are!
Wait what was the question?

hahah thanks everbody, and yeah the question was am I missing out on the 'advanced" vaping......im old school and puff puff and give me my fix and I am done.....but I find myself constantly replacing burnt out cartos and being frustrated once I hit that burnt taste and like I said as a chain vaper that's QUITE often....is there a fix for that, or just deal with it, and buy replacements as usual....or eventually move on up

No, you aren't missing out. IMHO

You can get an awesome vape with something as simple as a for eg. on a Mini Protank on a little eGo battery or even a tiny eRoll, same as the bigger stuff. I have a lost of gear - from the tiny eRoll automatic, right up to dripping atties and Provari and VW devices. As long as your ejuice is good and your topper is good, you are bound to get a great vape. But your topper definitely needn't be a fancy dripping atty.

I'm extremely happy with the vapour that pours out of my Kumiho glass bcc with the standard 2,4 ohm coil. Drop in a replacement 1.8 ohm coil and it's a crazy amount of vapour, even from my ego King battery. My MVP 2 really makes it hustle too. I'm thinking that's because it's not getting the voltage drop the King or my Spinner do though.
It gives good battery life too as it's only a single coil.

I rebuild my mini protank IIs with coil and a wick I make myself; I get some pretty serious clouds going from just a 650mh battery..

Info is in my blog, its not a big deal to do that...I bet if I was using an MVP or something I could get even more giant vapes than that, but I'm still kinda new to this and I dont know if Im ready just yet to spend more cash on a new Mod.

Im considering getting some more tanks tho :p.

Stock Kanger heads suck, or they are at least ok for a few days - then its burnt hits that taste like crap. Rebuilt coils and just a tiny bit of sterile cotton for a wick, prime it with some juice and you are all set...then when it tastes like crap, toss the cotton and clean the coils with a rinse/dry burn/rinse/dry burn again and put more cotton in.

Kanthal wire, sterile cotton balls, and a resistance meter or at worst a nice ohm meter will save you a lot versus using up cartos and/or having to wait for gear to arrive, in my opinion.

There are some really good clearomizer options out there today, and I know some very experienced vapers who swear by the cartomizer/tank option. So everyone sees it a bit differently, and that is cool.

I have tried them all (well, okay, I have tried lots and lots and lots of them, maybe not all). For me, there is no comparison between a good, well built RBA/RDA with any of the clearos and cartos. I also find my vaping experience is greatly enhanced by using a ProVari. The flavor, throat hit, and vapor production are all much better, hands down in my mind.

My advice is this: If you have not tried them, do your research, get the things you need to do it right, and give it a try. There is a wealth of knowledge available on this site for an inquiring mind. You won't know until you have tried it. You may find that it is not worth the effort, but you will know for yourself. Just the fact that you are asking the question makes me think you will eventually give it a try.

Good luck, and be safe!

Ya I do it all, but my go to devises are my Provari and mvp2 with Kanger Protank types. I need to be able to toss it in my purse and vape for 14 hours with no worries. Do the mechs and RBAs give better vape? Sure, but they also take care, work, tweaking and a learning curve to get there. For some folks, myself included in can be a lot of over head. In the end to most important thing is to get something that you enjoy and is fun for you.
