Am I the only one getting burned out? Why can't this be easier for me?!?

Hang in there it does get better
also off topic but I wanted to clarify a few issues on the AHCA aka"Obamacare"...the 6300.00 is the HOSPITAL maximum out of pocket cost...the plans offered are all very different in what prescriptions they will cover and how much the Dr's/and prescription cost out of pocket is...The plan we chose costs $33 a month for husband and myself...cost to see a Dr in the plan is $5, they cover 3 of my 5 prescriptions (co-pay is $17) and if the Dr says it is essential that I remain on the other 2 because other meds are working the other 2 are covered at a $35 co-pay. We had NO insurance for over 5 years since my company moved to India... Dr's appt cost us $85 x 2 every month...Meds cost us $1400.00 a month for husband and I...testing cost us over $4000 per year. The AHCA allowed us to get insurance without it we were denied ANY coverage due to our pre-exsiting conditions . If we ever have to be hospitalized the $6300 a year is the MAX we will have to pay( that is less than the last ER bill we paid for a 3 week long migraine I had) . For those that dont understand the healthcare plan they chose I suggest calling the office of the provider and asking for an appointment to have it explained to you...things are not as bleak as you think. If you chose a plan that doesnt work for you...you still can change before the end of the month...if you miss the window you can change plans in November

Hang in there. vaping is more of a pain in the ... than smoking. Smoking is easy. Buy a pack, light up, done. Vaping is, well... messy. Suddenly you have to deal with paper towels and Q-Tips, bad coils and flooded atomizers. And it always seems when you need a good vape the most, your equipment is giving you the crappiest vape EVER.

I just finished a week where I just COULD NOT get my genesis-style tank coiled properly. Bad vape after bad vape. Settled on my Pro-tank-I-use-at-work setup to get me through, and even it had its share of issues. I've been using this setup for months with great success. Highly frustrating. Re-coiled my genny last night and now everything is heavenly again... Go figure.

So yes, vaping is a higher maintenance addiction. But I'm still not smoking. Just keep with it and understand vaping is inherently more complicated that burning chopped up leaves.

Vape on. :vapor:

Single-payer would have resolved all this crap and so would taking the profit out of healthcare. *sigh*

I agree...but compromises were made. The AHCA was supposed to be a single payer plan..."sigh" now it will take decades to get there...Now I really need a vape

Yeah. Had we a Congress that actually represented the PEOPLE instead of its other "interests" *ahem* they could have come up with a workable plan. This Frankenstein approach is better than nothing but light years away from what we SHOULD have and what we, as taxpayers and Americans, deserve.

When everything starts going wrong with tanks and rebuildables and all that jazz I just fall back on the simplicity of a cheap disposable dripping atty and drip. Always a reliable vape though not an optimal one.

Seriously everyone goes through those nothing is working/satisfying phases. It usually passes.

I was a smoker for 40 years and when my mind tries to tell me it's to big of a hassle to vape, I ignore it.
The mind is a terrible thang ain't it? lol :D

This makes me wonder if it is a last ditch effort of the brain to try and get a smoke. Somedays it does seem like vaping takes a ton of effort. Often say to my wife that I wonder how people do it that are not mechanically inclined. Seems that's all I do anymore is fix, repair or setup mine and wife's vaping gear.

Im very sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Still i want to congratulate you! because even with the problems you been having you have managed to stay away from the stinkers!

About the techincal problems you been having with your gear, the advice i can give you is:
Dont focus so much on mods, turn your attention to what you put on top of them

You mention you have 3 zmax and a VV, you can have 10 zmax and 10 other mods, and as long as you continue to use the same toppers, you will still have that burnt taste and leakage.
The problems you describe are not related to your mod. they are caused by your protanks and your cartos.

When you have the chance, get yourself a diferent clearo or rda, and youll see your problems will go away.

Best of luck to you!

All of you people pointing out that vaping is a pain in the .... sometimes...
You obviously aren't drippers.
:)

Dripping is the Holy Grail and the path to righteousness.

If you feel that dripping is a pain, which many do, then get a squonker.
SQUONKER: That's a word I think I may have just made up.

Probably not though...

You are absolutely right!
A lot of people are intimidated by having to build a coil (i know i was before i actually did it), but the fact is, that once you build and install that coil, dripping is 100% trouble free.
I know i had a TON more issues with burnt tasting, leaking, lack of flavor, weird tasting, with my clearos & cartos, that with my drippers.
And about building the coil, once you actually do it, you see its 1000 times easier that what you tought it would be.

Honey, I went through a period where waking up and getting out of bed was nearly too much to deal with....lol

Trust me, dripping wouldn't have helped.

I have drippers, anyway. :p

Except that it's the dripping part many of us object too. I want to be able to do nothing but press a button to get my nicotine.

As for the OP's insurance issues, it seem that TX is the problem, not the ACA.

I used to have those every single day. Still have them sometimes. I guess asthma is good for something, it *makes* me get up and cough, and that makes me have to tinkle... I think it's *bodies* that are the MOST trouble!

As mentioned, I got several drippers today. Still haven't figured out how to use them; cooking dinner kinda got in the way of "hobby". *sigh* At least the T3S works right... mostly. I'm on my last coil though, so I hope that S.O.S. pkg of them I ordered yesterday gets here soon. Ft Lauderdale to Atlanta shouldn't take too long.

As for that so-called insurance... I haven't chosen a plan and I don't plan to, because I can't afford any of them. Calling strangers up on the phone about business is outside my comfort zone too, so that won't work. Basically I'm still screwed and getting moreso.

Watch a video or two about using a dripper. They're pretty easy once you see what it's about.

I dragged my feet on the insurance thing, too. I upped my meds and had a burst of energy and just plunged in. I wouldn't have done it had I not been taking my meds the way I'm supposed to, like I was before...not enough because I didn't want to run out.

It's a vicious cycle but you'll figure out what you want to do eventually. I hope it gets easier for you, sweetheart.

Once you get your first dripper coil working, and it probably won't be the first time you try, it's a huge relief. You know that you'll never be dependent on having supplies of coils and clearos and eGos again. Just the dripper and a mech mod that will go forever, a supply of wire and batteries that will last years and not be banned whatever happens, and a bottle of eliquid is all you need.

I imagine it gets even better when you mix that eliquid yourself.
