I just explained how important it was for me to find flavors I liked (without specifying what they were) and then talking about other things adults like that come in flavors. ;)

I couldn't help but point out that Nicorette comes in "attractive to children" flavors too, like orange, cinnamon, mint... And it even LOOKS LIKE CANDY so what the hell is the deal with the double standard?

Yeah, some times I just can't help myself. :D

BUT that is made and sold by the pharmaceutical companies and we know they're in bed with the FDA, but your local vape shop is not only not in bed with the FDA, they're not in the same building, state or country!

I don't like 100% tobacco flavors. However, I do tend to prefer liquids with a tobacco flavor base. "Pure" fruits and stuff is usually not complex enough to keep me hooked over time.

I find tobacco flavors add a level of complexity to liquids. Even when used in such small amounts that it no longer tastes of tobacco.

I gave up on tobacco juices actually tasting like a lit cigarette, and have to agree they remind me more of unlit tobacco, but that's OK with me. Try as I might, inhaling a sweet blueberry or pineapple or even chocolate/coffee just doesn't work for me as well as my tobacco flavors.

If you tried smoking a cigarette after months of vaping, you'd realize in a big hurry that you're glad none of them taste like that. I think we just grew numb to the burning flavor of them. They certainly don't taste like they used to.

I'm with my lovely server Andria - NETs, in particular, taste more how tobacco smells. The actual flavor of the tobacco, not the burning of it. Unburnt tobacco still smells wonderful to me.

I've submitted multiple comments to the FDA over the proposed guidelines and in reading a lot the responses, I noticed a lot of people commented they don't like tobacco flavored juice and really enjoy the fruity or sweet flavored juices instead. Since flavoring is one of the things the FDA will include in the pending regulations, I can see why those who like the fruit flavors etc., are concerned.

I've tried the sweet flavors, but I just don't like them. Maybe I'm weird, but I enjoyed the taste of tobacco. I smoked for nearly 40 years and looked forward to the first cigarette in the morning. While I haven't smoked a cigarette in over two years, I still like the taste, so my juice of choice is a 50/50 combination of a cigarette flavored juice with a menthol flavored juice I buy from my local vape shop and just blend in my Nautilus.

Am I the odd man out here? Does liking a tobacco flavored juice after two years seem out of place with what others are doing?

There is no right or wrong here, as we all have different tastes. I started with tobacco flavors, but when I tried a fruit flavor, that changed everything for me. Now I like menthol, so go figure. I haven't vaped that until recently.

You saw all the comments to the FDA about flavors because I think we were trying to point out that adults like flavors, and tobacco is not necessarily one of them.

Oh trust me, I'm not disappointed tobacco flavored juice doesn't taste like a lit cigarette. I haven't touched a lit one in over 2 years, so I don't know how my taste buds might react. I'd hope I'd find the taste awful, but then I enjoyed smoking so much, I might like it. So I won't risk it by trying. I'm satisfied with my vape, so for me it works.

I get that, I do. It just seemed to me so many were waxing enthusiastically about fruit or sweet flavors and it made me wonder what's wrong with me that I don't like at all.

I really enjoyed smoking as well; I only quit for financial reasons. Trust me, you wouldn't like it. Not recommending you try, but I did smoke some a while ago, my favorite brand (American Spirit yellow) & honestly I couldn't even find the flavor I enjoyed behind all that burning garbage. I might as well have lit a sheet of paper on fire.

Without the benefit of having read most of this thread, I prefer tobacco flavored juices. Fruity stuff is a nice change up but my ADV juices are all tobacco inspired. My current favorite is Beeblebrox from The Vapor Chef. Holy Goodness, Batman!

I really enjoyed smoking and love the taste of tobacco. Fortunately, I enjoy vaping more than smoking and using tobacco flavored juices satisfies my urge to smoke.

I didn't quit for financial reasons. I was actually very disappointed, no ashamed in myself that I consciously lit something up over and over and over and over, every day, that was clearly going to reduce my lifespan and possibly lead to lung and heart disease. I just felt powerless to stop. Until I discovered vaping. As to financial reasons, if I keep buying new gear at the rate I've been buying, it's not so much cheaper for me. But it most definitely is better for me.

Are there any NETs that are pure, real Virginia tobacco? That's really the flavor I like best, because it has hints of other flavors in it - tart apple, cinnamon, but they're just *hints*... it's complex, but very mild and smooth.

Here's a link to the VERY active ECF thread that specifically discusses and reviews NETs http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ussion/519685-natural-tobaccos-part-deux.html . The regulars on this thread are hard-core NET users, it's the place to go with any NET related question.

Disclaimer: I'm not a big fan of single varietals. I can spot a well-made one when I try it, but I don't particularly go looking for them.

N-E-Tcom used to make one, but he's a small vendor who's had a ton of issues in the last year. Some personal issues got in the way of business & he's still being affected by them. I would not recommend you order from him.

Mountain Oak would be the other one. They make some good liquids, but they seem to have a ton of issues in their shipping department. I'd give them a go, but just inspect your order when it shows up very carefully to make sure you got the right products in the right volumes & in the correct nic strength. I've ordered from them twice & both times they were screwed up & I've heard of several friends' orders that it happened to as well. They are worth a shot though. All of their NETs are the gold labels. The regular/black labels are either synths or have more synth flavors added with a tiny bit of NET flavoring.

Nah won't happen - they're very .... about that referral thing rules and I'm not shilling, looking for that anyway. But the question does come up a lot - people are looking for new places to try that offer samplers or sample sizes. (Some places don't offer sample sizes at all...) As it is, I'm not sure TVR is all that thrilled with me pointing out how to best work that deal - lol.

TVR just happens to be one of those places where if you know "the rules" - or rather what the coupon code is and where to look for the freebie deals as a new customer - you can walk out of there with a good deal as a new customer without breaking the bank. You get to try seven different flavors for $22.00 including shipping, and the trying 7 different flavors for cheap is the important part.

I hate to see the posts from newbies who just jump on a single vendor, order like 30+ different flavors from a place they never tried before, and find out they don't like any of it - for something common to all those liquids. They are picking up in a 'pepper' from the nic they don't like, there is something in the PG or VG base they don't like the taste of, the place is most likely sourcing all their flavorings from the same company... When you try any new place, for better or for worse, there will be common things that cut across all or most of their liquids. The idea is to get in and out cheap with a first time sample order, not to try out the entire product line on the first go.

LOL!! I read about the referral plan and hoped they would give you something :D I have been to about seven different places with different juices - LOL, I am going to try one of everything by the time I am done - hehe!! I made my first bottle of DIY last night too - but you were a HUGE help!!! All that juice - can't wait for the pkg!! **jumps up and down** so much to try and trying the lower nic too since I am in continuous vape mode - LOL, if it were up to me, I would skip sleeping and vape all night!!!

I checked the Mountain Oak site; the only NET Virginia they seem to offer is an "RY4" and I frankly don't really get mixing caramel/vanilla with tobacco flavor; I tried a couple of those when I first started vaping, and they kinda ick me out. There's a vanilla note in this Long Bottom Leaf I vape late at night with my cocoa, but I really doubt I could ever consider something that sweet as my "ADV."

I'll keep looking for a pure Virginia NET, maybe one with flavors of apple/cinnamon added, rather than something sugary like caramel/vanilla. I really prefer a taste that's more savory, even with a lightly bitter edge, than sweet.

That sucks. Goes to show how long it's been since I ordered from them - the Virginia I got from them wasn't an RY4 at all. They must have replaced it with that silver labeled special edition, cause I've never seen that one before either. CCSW might have one, but he doesn't have a website & doesn't advertise on this forum.

I liked Vapor Chef's Beeblebrox. I really liked their VC Tobacco Menthol #42. I ordered a 60 ml bottle of it.

I haven't made it through all of this thread and, not wanting to curse my good fortune, I may have found my IT tobacco flavor. It's Highbrowbacco Menthol:
Highbrowbacco - MentholIt's their Exotic Blend with menthol added. I got a sample and before I'd finished the tank I'd ordered 30 ml. with an extra shot of tobacco.

They also allow you to customize your flavors. I believe this is the best, most beautifully subtle menthol I've tried. There's just a bite of menthol on inhale and you don't really notice it on exhale then, you realize "hey, my mouth feels really good!"

It's thick, complex, smooth and warm and I'm happy.

NET.com IS back, with a promise of 72 hour turn-around.

GOLD is a great Virginia blend and highly recommended.
