Just curious. Since I started vaping (now three weeks - off cigarettes for two), I find that I tend to vape more like one would smoke a pipe. Not so much inhaling like a cigarette, but more just happily puffing away at it and enjoying the flavor(s). Have any of y'all found yourself doing this since you quite smoking?

This speaks to a concern of mine, as a new vaper. Because it is safer and more convenient will one find himself vaping more often, thus using up the juice and batteries faster? For example, now I can vape in the office so it would be tempting, depending on the strength of the juice to cape more often relatively speaking than one use to do with real cigs. I haven't purchased my kit yet, but have sampled them from an agent of the company I work for and was 'sold' at after one puff. Just concerned that the enticement could lead to heavier use more expense.

I have tried so many different ways of vaping and inhaling that I make myself dizzy sometimes. Sometimes I don't inhale and just like to see and taste the vapor and that relaxes me.

I vape a lot more than I ever smoked because I enjoy it more and it's way too convenient and I always have batteries charging and juice dripping. For myself that doesn't concern me with all the vaping I do, but many others cut down and many have even quit vaping also. I never will.

I went from smoking to vaping on July 15th. It seems like I vape twice as much as I smoked. But, I think part of it is that when I smoked I would have to finish the whole thing, and with vaping I can put it down and pick it up whenever I want. I have spoken to many people who also say they vape all the time. Even if you do vape all day you are still spending less than you would on cigarettes, and it is definitely more healthy. Congrats on quitting analogs.:)

Sometimes I'll vape constantly. The PV just dangles from my mouth <puff, puff, puff> I had to switch to a lower mg because of that. But I think it's because I enjoy it so much more.
Then other times, I will set it down and not pick it up for hours. It's certainly more convienent (since I can vape indoors, in the car, and stealth at the grocery) but as someone else pointed out, you don't feel the obligation to smoke the whole cigarette, so sometimes I only vape what I need.

I'm going to have to do that. Since I vape so much more than I ever smoked (I was a light smoker), though not inhaling, the 24mg that came with my kit is too much for me. I'm going to down to 18mg or maybe even lower on my next order.

I vape WAY more than I ever smoked...and yes, like you, I enjoy the flavor and the vaper so much and vape much like you do. :) I'm down to 12mg liquids...sometimes 9mg or even 0! I keep one or two 24mg liquids on hand "just in case". ;)

i definitely vape more than i smoked (and i did smoke (and inhale) w/ a pipe. just as i inhale now (slow long direct drags like i used to w/ my RYOs) i used to do it for a chest hit and still do. I also believe i'm missing some of the other alkaloids in a cigarette because i'm using more nic to compensate - poorly. so i think for me there's a chemical factor as well as the whole " i like this toy of mine" thing in my case.

I really wish there was a more definitive solution in the "beta-carboline-maois-towards-more-effective-e-liquid.html" thread in the health section of these forums so perhaps I could get something that won't make juice taste like dirt - or those alkaloids positively identified so we could find safe alternatives.

edit: rather it be put into english that I can understand better...lol

but yeah i'm definitively vaping more than i smoked - but what's the harm? it's not like i'm sucking in carbon monoxide or arsenic or any of 4000 other chemicals - so do it think it matters? not in the slightest.

I keep at least two PV with me most of the time, one with 24mg and one with 5mg because I do tend to chain vape sometimes.

I definately have been chain vaping. I was going at it like an analog at first, but read posts and also advised to draw, hold, then inhale.
I would describe it as more akin to when I would smoke a cigar, similar to pipe I suppose. But I will inhale where I didn't with cigars.
I'm finding I get more satisfaction and fulfillment from vaping now that I use this method. I just totally appreciate having ECF here to be able to gleam such info as doing it yourself is hit or miss.
And congrats on your 3 weks!

yes i do it all the time.. it seems normal.. just make sure you dont make yourself sick, depending on your nicotine level, if you seem your vaping so much you make yourself sick, go down to a lower MG so you can vape as much you want without getting sick.. i personally vape ALL the time with 24mg nicotine dripping.. its the highest nicotine level.. most places only do 16mg.. ELiquidplanet.com gives out 24mg.. i believe i seen it even higher, but 24mg is fine you shouldnt really need too miuch more unless you were like a 3-4 pack a day smoker.

I don't vape like you, but if I did, I'd be saving a lot of money: if you don't inhale, why pay for nicotine? Just go to tastyvapor.us and buy 4oz. doublers for some yummy, dirt-cheap, zero-nic vaping!

Congrats, friend, on your 2 weeks! :)

The first week of vaping, I was vaping CONSTANTLY. I don't think my eGo was out of my hand for more than 10 minutes at any given time...and the few days that I was badly craving analogs, I was puffing away every 30-60 seconds at times. I did suffer some GI upset from too much nic, and that actually helped me slow down my vaping.

Tomorrow is my 3-week "vape"day (go me!), and I've noticed I'm vaping a whole lot less these last few days.
