Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're stacking two 18350s?

Also, what resistance does that 10 wraps of 30ga come to?

No you stack these or something similar

AW LiFePO4 RCR 123 - Batteries

LiFePO4 rcr1234a @3v (3.2 really)

18350s would be too tall and a whopping 8 volts.

did it for a while back a couple years ago ..... don't see the need now days though.

I hate stacking batteries and I can get a great vape off a single battery.

Since I currently only own vv/vw regulated mod and PT2s, I've been doing 10 wrap, 30ga and ending at 2 ohm. Once that SO kit is out....a Reo will be mine!

Also, glad someone answered how OP was getting 6V. I thought it might of been a totally different (but similar size as 18650) battery. Didn't even think of stacking ....

this heats up pretty fast...

26Ga, 7/6 wrap, 2mm I.D., ~0.76Ω IIRC

wonder if you might need better screws to make better contact?

though, my 9/8 wrap was slow to perform with 26Ga also. if you're using the same diameter, maybe try 6 wraps.

ADDIT: i find thicker gauge really performs better at lower lengths. it gives it the current to overcome the lack of resistance and amount of mass to produce the heat necessary.

I vaped at 6v with the Tenergy RCR123A batteries and cartos for 3 years before I switched to a RM2 with the AW 18650's. I have several friends at work who are using the RM2 at 6v with the Tenergy batteries.

Thats what I did when 6v'n ..... a pair of tenergy and a 3 ohm boge carto could really fill your lungs.
I could never get over the two downsides though ..... stacking and cartos.

Do you need a sub ohm kit for this build on a standard grand?
I've tried the 8/9 wrap with an 18650 and it wasn't bad.

No you don't, You get in trouble as the ohms go below .7 ohms. The kit will give you a lower voltage drop so the same coil will hit harder or up the ohms for the same hit and get longer battery life.

^ this is correct. ^

i'm still waiting for the sub ohm kits.
