Reading through the threads and I keep seeing a recurring theme..... Reo reo reo......
am I the only person who doesn't really want one? I understand the concept and see the attraction in the way of flavour of dripping yet ease of a tank system, simple and nothing to really go wrong, but I just love being able to get the same vape every time no matter what the charge on my battery is, is it bad that I'd love a reo but with a regulated power control?

Nah mate, If ya like the Reo, go with it, if Ya like your mod stick with it. I am sure that there is something out there for everyone. I have mainly eGo batterys and clearos. I just started getting into mods. So for me, baby steps. My opinion of the Reo system is that it's allure is it's simplicity of operation.

Having been around and vaping since it's infancy here in the US, I naturally started on a mechanical mode using cartos, and then progressing to cartomizers.

Although there were VV mods on the market, I stayed with my mechs., as I knew full well being in the IT field how fast things change in the electronics industries.

I only switched over to a Provari about two years ago as I had made the decision that if I do switch it was going to be for the best VV on the market at the time with the best track record for durability in all facets of design and operation as well as a proven track record.

I now own 4 Provari 2.5' use clearo tanks and have been pretty satisfied up until recently.

Like a lot of people I wanted something more from my vaping experience, but the fact was, and it still is that there are only so many quality VV / VW mods out there!

I finally sprung for a ZNA lite, as I will not buy Asian electronic mods; they just do not hold up over time, and you end up tossing them..IMHO,,,

Still using clearo tanks and quite honestly I have been very satisfied, of course progressing on my atomizers to achieve the desired vape quality and run time (tanks) that I had been looking for.

Well I had seen Reo' for as long as they had been on the scene, and being a mech I wasn't too anxious to run out and spend "that kind of money" on a mech, as there are no electronics, and no reason for something to cost that much that is going to require I use disposable attys and it only has a 6 ml tank (bottle) as I am a chain vaper to this day. .

Okay I won't lie, with the advancements in RBT, RDA technology and getting burnt out on replacing clearo heads several times a week, not to mention tank seals, etc., etc., when a Reo came along in the classys and changed me forever in my opinions toward VV/VW moding.

I bought the Reo that came with a Cyclone RDA and AFC, when I got it and I saw the atty, I though to myself "what the heck was I thinking", "well I can always flip it if I decide I made a mistake"

The Reo sat for quite a while as building a RDA the size of a Cyclone is almost like micro surgery! It only has about a 15mm deck! And I surely was not about to revert to the cartomizers (be some are really great now).

Long story short I watched a couple of YouTube videos on Cyclone builds, and I got VERY lucky! I mimicked a build I had seen and it has proven to be my ADV mod and atty!

I have a 6ml juice tank, a very efficient atty I do not have to replace clearo heads in or re-wick as I use Ready X Wick which is indestructible, no voltage or wattage setting to mess with!

Push the button it vapes, like a beast! All I have to do is change the battery and keep the juice full; I think this is where the love affair comes from, the simplicity and dependability and of course ease of operation! :thumb:

No voltages or wattages to fiddle with..no cartos to replace; the 1.7 ohm Kanthal ribbon 3 x 2mm wicks require no maintenace, and it works perfectly paired with a Efest 35a 18650....simply magic...the key here is simple!

I'll admit I am attracted by the simplicity of it, and the fact it will give me the flavour of a dripper, it was the lack of regulation that put me off (and the price) I'm not slating it I just wasn't sure it could match a regulated box for consistency, I'm not sure I'm ready to spend that kind of money on something I could probably build for a fraction on the price but I might give one a try if I ever have the spare cash (which might be soon after landing a new job over Christmas)

If you have the ability to build a custom BF mod, then by all means do it! The absolute convenience of squonking combined with the durability and size is pure win! You can always throw a chip in there and have it regulated. Sounds like a no brainer. Rob's not in his business to give the mods away at cost. Shoot, the guy's gotta eat.

And I would love to see pictures of it! I have seen some custom ones other people have made and they are good looking.

I see a lot of people recommend them. But as a new vapor it was too much for me

i don't recommend them to new vapers - you might hate vaping and return to cigarettes (although you can resell them for close to what you paid). To begin with i think regulated devices are a safer way to go and your head will not explode trying to assimilate millions of calculations and facts all at one time.

As a new vaper, your piority is something that works reliably with the minimum of fuss, so as close to a cigarette as possible. Charge it - vape it - fill tank up - something like that.

When people say a Reo is simple, that's true. But it's only half the story. In a lot of ways what it does is deflect the focus to the coils you can build. If you consider a Reo as a battery holder and juice feed system - it's unbeatable; but YOU have to be able to make the coils on top of it to get the best from it.
That's the tricky part - is the coil safe? will the battery power it safely? is the airflow just right?

I'm not saying it's difficult, but i am saying it's likely more than someone new cares to deal with. So, when you have a few months vaping under your belt - then think about better devices, after you have an all day vape you already like.

As I have been remiss in welcoming you Dyanne. Welcome, happy to have you here! action-smiley-065.gif

I felt the same way when I began vaping. If you have the opportunity to advance your vape learning curve, save yourself a lot of financial and equipment aggravation and go straight to the end game...

eta. ST posted at the same time I was. He makes an excellent point about reo's being about the coil builds. Spend some time in the rebuildable atomizer sub forum and you can advance your learning curve...

I agree with the caveat to new vapers. Once you are ready to make you own coils Reo should be high on your wanted list.

After six months of vaping VV mods and mechanical tubes I bought a Reo. Since then, that's all I vape. Once in a while I try one of my other mods and can not get the same satisfying vape. I have 7/8 mods gathering dust....that I got to get rid off.

Reos are beautiful and elegant. They are build of solid aluminium and the workmanship is flawless. They never will become obsolete. The customer service given by Rob, the owner/builder is outstanding. He answers his own phone and walked me through my initial hands-on. He will repair/renew your Reo if you wish or provide all parts required to do so on your own. Anyone with a simple screwdriver can rebuild a Reo.

As someone said the price of a Reo is actually a bargain when you consider the craftmanship involved, the support given by Rob, the fact that you will not need to upgrade every three months. .... and you can re-sell a Reo for practicaly what you paid for it should you wish if it is not ''youre cup of tea'' .

I don't remember having ever heard of an unsatisfied Reo customer, have you ? That says a lot doesn't it ?

I think you have chosen excellent equipment. Even some of us who have been vaping more than a year are enamored with the iSticks and bought more after trying one. Don't ever think your current hardware is "not good enough" around other people. What is important is that it works well for you, for the purpose intended. That is all that matters. This is your journey to be free of cigarette addiction, you know what is right for you better than anyone else :)

Oh I understand that (photographers get asked to work free a lot too lol) I'm sure I could build one but if I liked it I'd still buy a reo, I'm sure it would be a much better quality than what I could build
