Sorry about your problems. When I first decided to vape I spent 200+ hrs researching because I had read all the horror stories such as yours. I decided to go with a mod, the Megalodon, and it has easily surpassed my expectations. ECF has a great Supplier List and there is also a UK Forum where you can ask questions about local Suppliers and their products. The Suppliers here at ECF list here under a strict code of ethics and ECF members have no problem in calling them out if not satisfied. BTW still researching.
Good Luck, Vapoor.

Edit: And no you are not the first to purchase overpriced and/ or shoddy products.

I think a lot of people start out with units that don't really work for them. Often overpriced stuff they buy at the mall or online, and sometimes stuff that just doesn't suit their needs.

I started out with a drug store cigarette. I didn't get burned too badly, but if I'd found ECF first I would have done better. Within the first week I'd already ordered another e-cig and I'm still vaping that brand happily. Do some in depth research before your next purchase and hopefully you'll end up with something that works for you.

Welcome , and don't feel like your the only one . Most people starting out (myself included) bought junk that didn't work, leaked , tasted like crap , overpriced , etc . The EGO is one of the better small PV's out there , but a lot of people have problems with the tanks . But you can buy 510 atty's and carto's , that work much better .I myself , got an EGO as my second PV . A tank model , that got me to stop the stinky's once and for all . So for that , I'm grateful . I just didn't like the battery life , so I bought a Big bat mod , and haven't looked back . If you look at my signature , you will see that I now have more than a few . Good luck , and don't give up . Pretty soon , all the problems will just stop happening .

Add me to the list of vapers who started out with an overpriced overhyped ecig from V2cigs.com. the battery life was horrible and the overpriced carto's didn't last no where near as long as they claimed. I gave up on it after a month and moved on to the ego t. Like you, I had dry hits and poor consistancy. I got tired of wating time with it so I moved on to carto's with the ego. I was happy with the ego but grew out of it after a month. So what did I buy next? A Provari, now all is right in the world. I am to lazy for dripping although I try to do it every couple of wks. So now I use the Provari and love it with the two carto tanks that I have. My lava tank works like a dream as does the ss tank that I have. So I am now expecting the arrival of my second Provari today and a depth charge tank by Friday.

A lot of people make a mistake on their first ecig (I did). And a lot of people have been disappointed in the -T tank models though they remain so attractive to new vapers that apparently new vapers are blind to any bad reviews of them and only believe the good reviews.

However your Ego-T batteries are fine and you can vape then the way most people do, with cartomizers and occasional dripping on a normal atomizer (for testing juices, vaping occasional juices, and vaping ones too thick for cartos)

This is funny - Ego-T vs the most popular simple cartomizer for Ego
eGo-T (tank and atomizer) vs Boge 2.0 Cartomizers - YouTube

And here is a guy who made his Ego-T's work better by tweaking them a bit

As others have said, get yourself some Boge 2.0 cartos. The tanks are just too undependable, and I think they require too much tinkering for the first time vaper. With a standard cartomizer, once you've put around 25 drops of juice in it, you can't really go wrong. They're cheap, too, so making that first burn-it-too-dry mistake will only set you back a couple of bucks. I would also recommend the Smok Tech 1.7ohm cartomizers that are available.

the ego-t is a great device if you have the time and energy to mod it yourself. if you want something that works perfect right out of the package, which is what i was expecting with my first -t atty, get a carto or an atty and driptip. I've had several -t atty's and all of the had to have wick adjustments to work properly except one. also replacing the hard cap with a silicone cap can do wonders. The -t was my second model after a regular ego so it didn't turn me off to the e-cig at all, it's a good thing that i like tweeking all my stuff anyways because i can see how things not being perfect when new could turn people off.
