Hi to all this is one of my first post.

I have been vapeing for 8-9 months and love it I have the Riva 510 and youse cartomizers
I have a question for the vets.
If I have a big night of vapeing I get a sore tongue (white stuff and sometimes a little blister ) I have played with changing PG VG % and no PG has helped
But I still get a sore tongue but not as bad. Mind you If I still was on the analogue cigs I was smoking 2 packets in a 5 hours of a LAN and we play 4 days straight so I am much better of no coughing up all the black stuff

I just want to know if this has happened to others because I have got lots of my mates on to E CIGS and I am the only one it happens to.
Your advice is very welcome :vapor:

I never had a sore tongue but my mom did when she started vaping. But that was pretty early- she was only vaping a couple weeks when it happened and it did go away.

Are you drawing really hard? Maybe hot juice on your tongue?

I don't know if they carry this product in Australia or a similar product, but this seemed to help her.

Nicotine is a skin irritant.

You left out what your nicotine level is.

When I started vaping 18mg PG, my tongue got numb and irritated. I switched to 70PG/30Vg and the irritation went away. Now I use cartomizers w/ 80PG/20Vg and lower nic.

One thing that can help some with cartomizers is to use a drip tip as a mouthpiece - that brings the vapor in through a wider hole so it is not concentrated in a tight stream. That should reduce irritation.

Also - moderate your vaping. I leave my ecigs in another room so I cam not constantly sucking on them.

untill last friday my toung was burning/iritated by the cartomizer but my toung also burns if i smoke to many anologs so i think puffing on it to much could be part of it. i upgraded ecigs and got a joytech ego-t & went to using tanks instead and i havent had a prob. i smoke 3/4th of a tank a day... i have no idea how much that is though. im geussing 2ml judging by eye.

BTW an actual blister can also happen if a hot droplet of juice spits out onto your tongue. I clean my cartos up well after filling or adding juice. I carry a tissue and I can rip off a bit and touch it to the stuffing as tilt it open end downa nd puff into the threaded end to clear the air channel. Won't be the most filled carto but will be unlikely to drip or spit.

i do get sore quite regularly..nothing to do with vapeing..but i wear denture and when i cut my inner mouth or bite accidentally..the healing is very slow..takes weeks to heal up..so i am careful and use polident(denture adhesive) to secure my denture and carefully chew my food..so maybe the juice stop the sore from healing,my observation even i used bonjela..regards mafig

I have noticed if I am vaping a higher nic level than normal for me (like 18 mg) my mouth gets sore where ever I am pointing the drip tip the most ..... roof of my mouth on the right side, or along the front right edge of my tongue. Now I am getting lower nic juice, and rotate where I inhale from ...... left side, right side, point down, etc .... sounds like a hassel doesn't it?

Thanks a lot for all your feedback I am new to ECF and love having ppl that can help with advice.
I vape 12mg and I think the idea with the drip tip in the cardo is just the trick I need.
When i am playing games for a long time I think I might over do one spot on my tongue I try to remember to move it around.
And I make shore to blow the excess out of my cardos very well before I use them.
I seem to have swapped my lighter for tissues
And yes I don’t drink much water when this happens lots of soft drink

You're welcome. Yes drip tips are a must as far as I'm concerned as Nicotine is an irritant. Re: hydration over 4 cups of coffee per day without vaping brings on dehydration. Is there caffeine in your soft drinks? I know I had to cut my coffee intake down drastically but it's all good :)
Good Luck, Vapoor.

It's not the nicotine that causes mouth sores, etc. If it was, we would all be having them and also from smoking.

It's the other ingredients, most probably the flavorings used that is causing the reaction.
