I am a fairly advanced user, I work in the industry, I understand ohms, battery safety etc etc blah blah. I can not for the life of me build decent coils, and I do not particularly care for rebuilding either. I have a local B&M and one lovely person there who builds coils for me in exchange for some playful ribbing with me as the jokebutt. I pop them in, replace my wicks every week or so and I am quite happy with this arrangement but I mean honestly, is it that unheard of for someone at my level so to speak to just remain inept at building? FYI I work with my hands, and am very mechanically inclined...I don't know guys, just a rant I suppose as I am getting ready to go grab some coils.

They sell coil jigs if you need help with making coils. Otherwise imho should only be using rebuildables if you can rebuild them yourself/attempt to.
Just keep trying and you'll get better coils. Practice makes perfect. Good luck :p

Edit: also wash your hands before and dry good it'll help get you a better grip on the wire to keep the coil tight/not overlapping.

Thanks guys lol, I just simply dont like it, I know if I keep at it I will get better, Its just a part of vaping I dont enjoy, like to do, or really manage to find the time and space to do. I have a friend who builds for me, I keep spares, and keep a couple drippers set up so I am never in a situation where I HAVE to rebuild one. Just how I am I suppose lol

I say no you aren't weird. I don't want to build coils and its been a while. Maybe eventualy but I'm ok and don't smoke cigarettes and isn't that really the point?

Precisely, Ive done pretty darn well. Quit smoking over a year ago and have not looked back. Now its just a hobby that I enjoy.

I hate building coils, about as much as i hate kanthal in my fingers / feet and go to extreme lengths to ensure that i don't have to do it very often even though i am more than capable of building good ones. It took me a while to learn especially considering i caught shinyitis early on and had a lot of different drippers to fiddle with, they each have their own way of doing things and some setups are easier than others. Keep at it man, it gets easier :)

Do what you like to do and pay someone to do those things you don't like.

I hate mowing my grass. I pay someone to do it. Could I?

I hate cleaning my pool. I still clean it though.

I hate rebuilding as well. Sometimes I rebuild them and other just I buy premades.

It's your life. Only person that you should care that judges you is you.
