Why for they ain't working? What kinda batteries and builds are ya using?
If you're trying to heat a train track Clapton on a single battery mod, you're wasting your time. Too much metal to heat up. Try a simple build :)

I've been building coils for a year now so I know how to build and it's not a coil issue. I don't own a single battery mod. I have dual cell series, dual cell parallel, triple cell parallel, quad cell para-series fully mech mod, quad parallel, and a couple regulated mods. I also build my own unregulated mods so I know what I'm doing. It's just coincidence that they all wanted to take a dump on me. I had some new solder and I think it's the soldering joins that aren't the best soldering joints. I'm going to tear them apart and resolver the joints with my old solder that I know works.

I hope I didn't come off as an a*#hole cause I wasn't trying to come off that way. I appreciate you trying to help me. This has got me really frustrated. My apologies if I came across that way.

Yeah it's a mech so it doesn't need solder. Now on the Raptor chip, pot and other regulated/unregulated boxes that's a different story.

I also ordered a new temp controlled soldering iron that is going to replace the "beginner" soldering iron I had. Hopefully with this new iron kit and using the old solder I will have better connections. I was doing research on soldering electronics and specifically for our purposes and I let seeing people talk about "good connections". So I was looking at the solder joints of the mods I've built and they didn't look like good connections so I think that's the problem right there.

Soldering tiny connections is an art.
You have to be sure everything is hot so the solder sticks.
If the wire is cool, the hot solder wont stick properly and wont make a good connection.

Yeah. I found that out the hard way. Wish you could have told me that a few months ago lol. This new soldering iron is a hobby soldering iron instead of just a once in a blue moon soldering job. Figured if I'm gonna keep doing this and fixing friends mods in the future I should get a good iron so I got an adjustable digital temp readout station where it has the solder spool holder and an iron stand with a tip cleaner and a sponge. When I get it I'm going to play around and try to get good at wiring small parts. I thought maybe I could go to a computer repair store and get a old board and a spool of wire and try to solder small bits (so I don't waste a bunch) of wire to the board.

Hakko makes nice soldering irons.
Be sure to keep the tips clean.
You are managing the heat, not the solder, and once everything is hot enough, it will flow and stick.
If that makes any sense.

I looked at Hakko soldering irons. I have their flush cut snips and love them. Quality product but their irons were a little more than I was willing to spend so I did some research on irons, read reviews and watched YouTube reviews. I settled on XTronicUSA. The station was $50 w/free shipping and the tips are priced pretty cheap and one thing I liked is that I'm able to switch the temp readout in either Celsius of Fahrenheit. So for a decent station to get me away from the crappy cheap iron I got from Lowes and get me started with a hobbyist iron without spending a bunch of money I figured this was a good start. If I'm the future I want to get deeper into it and get a better iron I can but for now I think this one will work pretty good.

I was a welder for over 1/2 my working life before I had a motorcycle accident (was 24 when I got hurt, 34 now) and was paralyzed from the waist down. I understand completely. Just like in welding, if the electricity wasn't turned up enough and the heat hot enough you would be able to knock the weld right off the steel you were welding cause it wasn't able to penetrate both pieces you were welding.when things were all set correctly you could run a bead and it just felt right. Not "exactly" the same but enough to understand where your coming from.

So my USPS did their famous "Delivered status" with no package in my mailbox. (Literally hate my USPS, this is almost a 7/10 time thing) Hopefully it will be delivered today. I will be receiving the mechs from my order from 2FDeal found on post #13 except the Raptor G2 and Resin Delubio. Once I check them out I will pick out the one I am the most amped about, take some broken down pics, put a coil build on it, and let the 2+ week test begin. With them in the mail atm the most I am excited to try is the Incubus (omg all those parts and I promised broken down pics :(.. But we will see how I like them)

Started trying the Hanged mod RDA/mod kit clone and am really liking it atm... Like a lot. I'm looking for my camera cord but if I can't find it I will take some cellphone pictures of the parts(I apologize beforehand for picture quality if I can't find my camera cord) and will update the thread tonight on my initial first impressions

I have the Raven combo and it is a good solid mod. I'd rate it up there with my faves.

Does anyone know of any other clone websites besides Fasttech, 3FVape, and 2FDeal?
3avape, gearbest, focalecig, efun.top (I get a malicious website warning for them but Vaping Cheap almost always has atleast 1 daily deal from there)
I've never ordered from Alibaba or DHGate, may only be wholesalers...

So here are my first impressions after close to 48 hours. I will do an update after two weeks though...

Site-2fdeal
Mod- Hybrid Hanged Mod 1:1 clone with Unholy RDA clone- brass
Price-27.90
I do not own the authentic so no comparison will be made there

So the mech its self is amazing. Threads are like glass and the mod is thick and hefty. The button comes with two assemblies to make it a long throw or short throw. The long throw is literally the longest button press I have ever had on a mech.....but it works. The button can be pressed so smoothly you can fire it with your pinky, while at the same time having retention so as not to cause a misfire. It also hits like a bus and will give any cloud chasing mod a good run for their money. I honestly think this mod is going to take my Kennedy Roundhouses number 2 spot on my favorite mechs if I continue feeling the way I do for it with more use.

Now the bad. The RDA. Before I get into this let me tell you the good. There are three different airflow options for you. You can have their upside down cross, or two other options which is a simple slit in a horizontal or vertical position. It utilizes a clamp style similar to the goon but IMO (I own 3 authentic Goons) this RDA utilizes it better. Instead of the clamps being a top down style they are on the sides of the post, and the screw is in the middle of the clamp, helping you keep your four legs to your coils seperated which really helps when positioning the coils on the deck. The screws and clamp also feel very sturdy and I felt no fear of stripping the threads of bending the clamps. I wish I could leave it at that but I can't. When I first tested this set up I was having a blast, than when I went back for another vape session, unscrewed the RDA, annnnnnnd...... Juice everywhere. The top of the mod and a little raindrop on top of my battery(only on the very top of the positive post, didn't get into the wrap or into the battery.) I had noticed it didn't have the firmest of retention from the sleeve to the deck so I took off the O rings and checked the spares and for some reason the spares were bigger than the ones installed so I tried swapping them out and trying again.... After a while I go back to it and check again and while there was no leakage anymore on the mod, there was another raindrop size bit of ejuice on my battery. So I took off the 510 and put the other replacement in there and unfortunately that did not fix it. On closer inspection the insulator on the 510 does not look like it is thick enough so it is not making an airtight seal allowing juice to flow out, making the RDA useless unless I can find another insulator for it (if anyone can link me to one, that would be great!!!)... Another con is the drip tip comes off way to easily for my liking, but a pro would be this deck looks like it can utilize the Goon/Kennedy drip tips.

Its a shame as I really loved the performance of this RDA. It is a vapor production/flavor producing beast. Unfortunately the leaking issues make this an unusable RDA to me. I hope I can find an insulator for the 510 though as I really really enjoy this combination. I bought the copper and stainless versions of this kit as well so I plan on using another one of the RDAs to see if my brass version was maybe a quality control issue.

So yeah my first clone experience= A mod that is very very quickly making me want to claim it as one of my favorite mechs, though time will have to be the decider on that and an RDA I really loved the performance of but leaking was way to much of an issue for me.

So you will hear if any of my opinions change in the next two weeks but here are some pics. I only took three as I had to take them with my cellphone and did not want to drown the forum in shotty quality pictures.

I felt inspired so dug mine out and did a re-wick. Here is a quick pic;

My drip tip was loose too so I swapped it out for a csmnt one. I prefer a slightly smaller bore too.
