I bought quarts of PG and VG off of Amazon based on some reviews I found that said Essential Depot had good quality for vaping, and the price is oh so nice. Well, I received the Essential Depot VG, which I taste tested, both straight on the tongue and vaping. It has a nice consistency and sweetness, so I am happy with it.
The problem is with the PG. Like I said, I ordered the Essential Depot brand, but instead, I received Froggy's Fog brand. I did a taste test with it, and although it vapes just fine and has no off flavor, when I put it on my tongue, it has a bitter/sour twang to it. Is that what PG should taste like on the tongue?
Should I chuck the bottle and just grab some PG from a trusted DIY vendor, or should I just keep using this stuff? Like I said, it vapes just fine, and I have already made a couple of juices with it that taste fine. Also, the reviews on Amazon are full of people who use it for making DIY juices, and they all seem happy with it. Well, except for one.
Just for reference, here is what I ordered - Propylene Glycol 1 Quart: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
And this is what I received - Amazon.com: Propylene Glycol - Food Grade USP - 1 Quart (32 Oz.): Health & Personal Care
Thanks for any help and advice.
