An eGo-T users rant.

It's like your first car to me, ego tank was my first PV and I am determined
to deal with it. I keep the tank topped off and feel like I 'tinker' with it less
than I would a cart thru the day. I never used a cart type tho.

Sure I had some leaks when I ran it low, had some clogs and liquid in the mouth a
few times, but overall I love the system and it works for me.

In this macho chest beating internet world I have learned to wade thru the crap
to get the jewels so the 'go get what I have' passes over my head I think.

Also the 510 tank is a nice unit. I like it for stealthier missions.

I have done the 'wick mod' to one ego atty to see how it's made and I don't think
it is needed. If you do, fine, do it. Don't tell everyone they need to overhaul it tho.

I am getting by with a little alcohol flush when needed and a paint pen to 'key' the
tanks when reinstalling. I guess I'm on the tank bandwagon now lol, I will
Shut Up And Vape.

The eGo Mega was my first PV and it's still my 98% vaping unit. I use carts, dual coil LRs and tanks. In fact I have a setup for each config. I've learned the idiosyncrasies of each and am loving it.

Lately there have been some great tank 'dos-don't dos' posted. Just heed the advice and you'll be fine.

Oh, yes... be sure to have extra batts! I've accumulated nine, three different capacities.

PS: I am impressed with the 510T also, even with the short batt duration.

Yes, it does require a bit of common sense and willingness to tinker with it sometimes but for the most part, if you have half of a brain then it is not a big deal. I have been using the ego-t for months now and have had a few minor things happen but once you figure it out, it's not as bad as some people are saying. If you are lazy or easily frustrated, I would suggest another pv I guess but the tank is pretty convenient and not as expensive as some of the "luxury" ones

Hey everyone!
I first bought a mini which I used 4 days long. Then, bored of refilling it every 30 minutes, I ordered an eGo.
I think it's a great product for beginners and even more... The plenty of possibilities regarding atos, cartos etc makes the quest for "personnaly perfect combination", doesn't it ?
I'm quite a noob, but I love my eGo !

The eGo-T was my first e-cig (3 weeks ago) and I am very pleased with it so much so that I have convinced 8 of my office mates to reducing their tobacco habit and use the eGo-T as their first e-cig. So far, there has just been one incident of leaking but was resolved (he just didn't place the rubber cap of the tank properly). As I have completely stopped smoking I been using the eGo-T for 3 weeks straight (vaping like crazy whenever I experience nicotine craving) with no problem.

Errr...I'm new here but I found the OP's post good. I work in the legal field and if there's one maxim you can take from it, it is that the truth can often arrive in an adversarial setting. It's not like he came here and went off on the people themselves personally. He just gave a take on the device. And what followed were others take on the advice. After reading all of it, I think I've got more of a sense of what the Ego thing can do. Thanks to all.

But, it's not very helpful to have that be the first suggestion right of the bat, and then the second, and then the third: the 'go get cartos' zombies at work ... and then the 7th, with the 8th through the 11th being a discussion about the newest, hottest carto on the market, followed by discussion about personal faves.

Great observation and right on it. Tried a ce2-r5 just to change pace, good vapor, good taste at first and then after one fill, burnt flavors all the way. Needless to say, I'm back to the tank. At least it is consistent and by now I can read the signs when to adjust the wick, or whatever, and put things right.

I recently switched to dual coil cartos and despite the initial pleasure of experiencing better flavor and hotter vapor, I must admit the EGO-T still has a special place in my heart.

I find the tank system to be the cleanest and most worry-free way of vaping without upgrading to larger box mods with bottom feeders.

One thing about EGO-T is that you can carry many tanks with considerable amount of juice and just switch them without having to worry about anything. The cost of the atomizers ($12-15/piece) looks like a rip-off on surface, but these things actually last quite a while.

Haven't had luck with the T though I only got one after I tried mostly everything else. Skipped ego a couple years ago and just getting around to using them. It just didn't have any flavor or vapor at reg resistance. Leaked all over too. I haven't bothered messing with it so it could work better with a little fiddling. Uh oh... this thread is starting to go just like the OP said it would. Sorry.

Just want to clarify: I don't think the eGo-T is the best thing since pv's (better than sliced bread for the hardcore smoker, I think). It has it's place, and does what it does. Though the T works just fine for me personally, I'm saving up for an awesome mod (the reward for not spending all that cash on those nasty ciggies!).

The issue was just with people who seemed put off by the T, and when others wanted some help with the thing, they weren't really too helpful, that's all.

I'm sure I offended some, but that's life. And, to be clear (and as I've posted elsewhere, and stand by) this forum is AWESOME; one of, if not the best, forums on the web, for all the aspects of the vaping community which are covered, discussed, fought over, &c. You can learn more, more quickly, haunting this forum than you could in a college course on the subject. And the people are great. And it's great when you first start vaping, and you've yet to convert some vaping buddies, to keep on point, and not give up just 'cause something's awry with your set-up.

p.s. @tmcase: I used to ride I-5, and 16 from Bremerton out to Tacoma: Careful, 'cause people will not be looking for you-- you gotta come to expect that, and be prepared, and not be caught off guard and surprised when you get run off the road. Keep the rubber side down

MasonD - thats fair enough. I don't think people realise that they're not always being helpful when their solution to something is....scrap what you're trying to do and get one of these.
It can be frustrating and lead to 'rants'. But hey ...we forgive you....lol

this is not what I expected when opening this thread LOL. I thought it was gonna be about how the eGo-T sucked. Instead its about telling people to not say it sucks? The rant was cool and all. And I am no one to talk becasue I have wrote my fair share of rants on here. BUT.......if someone asks me about how to fix their eGo-T that they have been having trouble with, Im gonna tell them to go buy a $7.95 5 pack of cartos. If a Ford Pinto owner asked me how he could fix his car so he wouldn't die in a ball of fire if rear ended....I wouldn't tell him 35 steps to fixing/reenforcing the gas tank area and tell him to change his driving style ect ect. I would just tell him to get a different car becasue the one he owns is a POS. Plain and simple. If you feel the need to help him with those 95 things you need to do to the tank system so it works or tell him to carry 4 at a time in a holster so when one wick gets dry he can use the other, more power to ya. But im just gonna tell him the EASY thing to do....that is to spend $8 and be happy, and sell the tank system on the classified add threads in here for pennies on the dollar. Then again maybe we say "just go buy carto's" because we are tired of every other thread being "my eGo-t isn't working right". Over the last 2 1/2 years vaping I have tried or owned many PV's and the eGo t is a fail IMO

So now I'm not so sure about getting an ego t after reading this thread and the above post. Maybe just an ego rather than the tank system? Or maybe I just have to convince my wife that she's going to be most satisfied with a tube mod.

Do you mean the original bike ? if so then yes good looker i know a biker who owns an original in mint condition .
Anyhow Joye Atty's are the best oh the bunch and the tank system is ok for what it is there are plenty of folks who think carto's and clearo's are crap which ever generation they are on about .

Ego-T FTW.... its all about the juices.... also... a lot of people have had problems with ego-t's but thats because there are a lot of knockoffs being sold with ....ty wicks... the product seems good but its all about wicks...

Hey guys I'm a newbie here, and I love ECF! I've also gotten back into using IRC, because I LOVE the ECF chatroom there. Just wanted to say that I'm finally learning a lot by being here. I bought a Joye 510 last December, and never was able to make the switch from analogs. Just couldn't get into it.

Now, finally, I've managed to quit analogs. It's a good thing too, because I found out in December I have the beginnings of Emphysema. Since I've quit, everything has bounced back. It's great!

Right now I'm using pretty standard 510 attys and I drip. What really helped me quit was the invention of the low resistance atomizer. I can finally carry my 510 around, whip it out, and get the kind of throat hit I used to get from a cig. I just got my first drip tip two days ago. What an inexpensive and easy solution that just totally takes the pain out of dripping! Plus, without the damn poly-fill in the way, you get an even better throat hit.

I'm thinking of trying out tanks. But, if I do, I think I'll go with the 510-T system. It looks easier to mess with than cartos. I wouldn't have to spend a lot of money starting over with another type of Tank System. And, it will be compatible with all the 510 gear I already have. But, for $15, if it doesn't work out, I can keep on dripping and not feel angry or guilty.

My take on all this is that I love EGO "System". My personal fave is the Type B tank, but what other one can you use with 2 different styles of tanks, a cart, a carto and a mega cart without having to buy all new complete kits? So far, none that I have researched!
Case in point: I have 3 Type B attys. Two are over 2 months old, one is newer. For whatever reason, just as I'm thinking that I need to buy a couple more "just in case", they all 3 died, one after another.
So, I go and order a few more (for less than one carton of my old cigs), and to keep me happy in the meantime, I break out a cart or two and a Type A tank. No problem!
You can argue over tanks vs. cartos vs. carts or even dripping, but I don't think anyone can argue the fact that the Ego has a winner with their system.

As far as taste. My atomic fireball juice has more/better taste in my Go-Go and my watermelon has more/better taste in my Ego-T LR. Just saying...lol.

Yea, the LR atomizer is a must have for this system imo.
