Not QUITE dead, I think. Rippspeed1 Tweeted four days ago that he's been having some issues with his machinist and is supposedly 5 weeks from a product. (No way to tell if he meant a Production Model or just a working prototype, but his Flickr stream only has the CGI mockups...)
Having built a bottle feeder based on this design, I can tell you with a fair edge of certainty this mod is not going to go smoothly in the initial stages of prototyping... The clearances are critical or it won't make the positive connection at one end or the other. Once the measurements are worked out, it should all run ok... It took me a few iterations to get it to the point of working no matter how I screwed the two top sections together.
Give them time, they'll get it going... That's why I hate these teaser threads... People get a bad taste just waiting for the first one to get built!

Bumping this up front, do not want to see this thread get lost. This is gonna be a very amazing mod when it is all done.
Sometimes progress is measured in miles, sometimes in inches. We are in the inch phase right now, but getting it right is more important than getting it fast. Still lurking, and wanting. But waiting patiently.

i know what you mean... its tuff not knowing what everyone is saying some times... but it keeps us on our toes... i think its great that we are all a part of "the worlds largest e-cigarette forum". i just wish i could speak all the many languages that are welcomed here....
i miss out on alot by not being bilingual....
