This was my thought as well, but I'm *stunned* at the level of negative feedback I'm getting from family and friends!

"What a waste of money..."
And cigarettes were such a good investment... and i say to them, $42 a week is what i was spending.

"Why don't you just quit - period?"
Gee, never thought of that, sounds soooo easy! And i say to them why dont you mind your own damn business !

"That nicotine juice doesn't sound too healthy..."
OK, yeah, maybe you're right - I should just go back to smoking. And i say to them, you should try reading some FACTS before opening your mouth and proving your stupid..

Keeping in mind that all of these loved ones quit the old-fashioned way, I just have to keep reminding myself they're just jealous that I'm having such an easy time of it, to the point of actually enjoying it! :D

I really get upset when stupid people act stupid :)

My experience: vaped and smoked analogs for about 2 weeks before I quit analogs-just didn't want analogs anymore-vaping was so much better/cheaper. BUT I held onto my 3 un-opened packs that were left-just locked them in the gun safe. Then, had a really BAD day about 2 1/2 weeks into quitting, so lit up an analog, took a few drags= ewww, nasty, put it out. Paced a bit, cried a bit, lit up another, took a couple drags (just sooooo wanted to calm myself down) = STILL icky, put it out. Lit one more about an hour later= WTF?! This used to make me feel better :confused:?!
Got totally disgusted, threw all remaining cigs out, haven't touched one since. Now I'm focused on trying lots of new flavors. Stressed out? Try some clove! Try some cinnamon! Mix and match! But I KNOW an analog will suck.

PS: I, too, have had some negative feedback (ie: it's not really quitting, or " and when will you quit the PV/using nicotine"?)

My response: "I am HOPING to reduce or, perhaps ELIMINATE my dependence on nicotine. However, I am very proud of myself for quitting cigarettes, after MANY attempts and pleased to have stopped introducing the huge amounts of toxins and carcinogens into my body that cigarettes contained. I may never quit using a PV since I really enjoy it. And I may never completely eliminate my dependence on nicotine, but until someone discovers that my PV will give me cancer I am just happy to be a non-smoker".

There is some thought that there are other tobacco alkaloids (specifically MAO inhibitors) that you aren't getting in e-liquid and it is the combination of nicotine and the MAO inhibitors that makes cigarettes so addictive. I haven't needed one since getting my HV Xhaler, but I did find that taking a snus or dissolvable helped me get through the strongest of cravings for an analog.

I wanted to try the Stonewall or Ariva Java flavors, but since I still have plenty of the Camel dissolvable sampler I was given a couple months ago I've not bothered to try them.

As long as you're having even one analog a day, your sense of smell and taste are still hindered. Snus/dissolvables might help you get there.
