I got my joys ego yesterday, it is my first real e cig. I mixed up some 36mg polar bear menthol with some vg and a little lorans grape..pretty nice. I enjoy it very much but first thing this morning all I could think about was an analog. Smoked about half and went straight for my ego..I hope the analog cravings go away but I definitely enjoy the ego way more; )

Hey, riley,

Smokers need/love that "nicotine rush" they get first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, it takes about 15 minutes for nicotine to release dopamine in the brain. Cigarette smoke has carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which very quickly reduces the oxygen concentration in your blood making you feel lightheaded, erroneously called a "nicotine rush," and you can't get that from nicotine or e-cigs.

So what? Why not make it easier on yourself and have a couple of analogs with your morning coffee? I do. Consider leaving your analogs in the car so they'll be out of reach. But don't beat yourself up when you go light one up.

Good Luck!

Yeah today, when I woke up this morning I found myself craving an analog cigarette really badly(today's the 3rd day I've not had one). I haven't smoked one cuz I dont have any and I don't wanna drive all the way into town to get one...but now that I've been up for a few minutes and smoking my 510 it is starting to subside. You can do it..like everyone here says..cigarettes have been fine tuned over the years to be an almost perfect fast and murderous delivery system for nicotine..eventually our bodies will adjust

That's to be expected, ya didn't start at a pk/day for example & it's makes sense for the serious smoker to cut down rather than expect an overnight change.
You might want to look into if 36mg. is necessary.

Those into quiting say it's about 3-4 days mountain climb, rough ride etc. so you are almost there & it makes sense to hang in there rather than start over.

Each time I had a smoke after I started vaping the taste of the smoke got worse and worse to where it just doesn't appeal anymore. I still have that craving, I've just been working to associate it with my PV and it's nice taste vs the chemical tasting smoke of cigarettes.

I'm pretty much the same way, it didn't take me very long to discover that if I have a good e-cigarette with a solid throat hit (especially if I'm dripping and get ALL of the flavor) then a cigarette tastes pretty horrible to me.

I feel kind of like a hypocrite too because I've started to notice that the smell of other people smoking analogs bother me. I'm not saying anything or even avoiding these people (cause many are old smoking buddies) but its just very bizarre.

I feel ya on the hypocrite part, especially ash trays... I know I used to be a considerably inconsiderate ....... So far though, 3 of my smoking friends are making the switch, one, who had been smoking 40 years.
