Hi everybody!

I found out about the e-cigarettes on my trip to Albuquerque when I was at the mall. One of the kiosks there was selling e-cigs, and I tried it. Good thing is that the kits which were sold there were quite expensive, and I decided to do research online before buying it. And that's how I found this forum.

I received my first eGo kit from freedomsmokeusa.com on July 29, and that was the day when I had my last analog. Before that I was a PAD smoker for 10 years!

Thank you to everybody for this forum and the discussions -- it is really helpful, and I'm still learning a lot. So far I'm just using carts (which I refill with polyfill) and attys… Planning on trying cartos and LR attys sometime soon!

Thanks again!

Hey Andant, welcome to ECF!

Good on ya for doing some research before you shelled out what those kiosks are charging. You probably wound up with a much better e-cig too. The eGo is pretty awesome.

There's lots of stuff to try, have fun! I'm mostly a carto user, but I've tried atties, and I tried my first LR a couple days ago. That thing is NUTS!

Thanks all for your welcome! I'm really enjoying being smoke-free and trying difference juices!

I have a question about the difference between carts+attys and cartos. I pretty much understand how they work (from reading the forum), but what escapes me is why the price between them is so different -- cartos are much cheaper than attys. I also read that cartos don't last as long as attys do, but again, I don't really know why this is so. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Cartos are cheaper than atties because they're designed to be disposable.

And of course, people have found ways of making them last, and last. I have cartos that I still use after over a month.

But they aren't designed for that, and the performance does degrade over time.

With proper care and a little luck, and atty can go for months on end with no significant decrease in performance.

If cartos cost what atties do, it would cost almost as much as smoking.
