TIm, congrats on the desicion. im still only new to it myself, but i made the transition last tuesday and it was a straight swap. no .... logs since. Now, i did it a little different to most. i started with an 8084 84mm super mini. Most people may not aggree, but i thought it was a great choice. was a great transition. They are EXACTLY the same size as a real one. Same choice of colours. battery isnt that bad if you use your usb charger during the day. with a smally atty mod it vapes like a demon!! see it is a 4 hole atty( the holes are near the thread), what i did was block 2 or 3 of those holes with a bit of masking tape,(its a bit fiddly), and holy cow!!! with 18mg marlboro juice and that mod, the throat hit is EXACTLY like an .... log. its off the hook. Cart life is not that good though, and you cant go anywhere near loud music due to the auto batteries. At work, this thing is THE BOMB. i have a black one with a blue tip and everyone asks about it. about 6 people want one.
Now, i had my 901 rock up yesterday and although it puts out more vape, it seems mellower, but im pretty sure i just need to wear in the atty. but yea, that little thing is a super smokin mini. ill put vids up as soon as i can start my own posts.

Whatever you buy, make sure to get extra batts, extra attys and extra juice. a promo pack with the lot does not quite cut it on its own.

all the best, and happy vaping!!!!!

P.S. I used to go to the store about three times a month to buy a $30 carton. Now I go to the post office once a month. But it's worth it for the bubble wrap. It's all about the bubble wrap.

I did it! I got my 510 starter kit. All-in-all i've spent 107 dollars.

What I got:

  • [*]1 Complete Manual 510 Personal Vaporizers - (1 Battery, 1 Atomizers, 1 Empty Cart for direct dripping)
[*]1 Black 510 Personal Charging Case PCC
[*]3 of our 3ml bottles of ECOpure in your choice of Flavor and Strength
[*]5 Blank ready to be filled cartridges.
All of that was from Innovapor

I also added 1 more atty and 1 more battery so far from Innovapor as well

From RockyMountain:

I got a 30ml bottle of Mint flavored PG based juice and a USB pass-through.

I plan on ordering more once I get my starter stuff in!

Has anybody ordered from Innovapor and can recall the time it took to ship??? I'm excited!

EDIT: congrats... I was a little late on the post I guess. I will leave it for others...

I did not read all the other posts, so some of this may be redundant.

I love my cigarettes. More-so I think I love the smoking room at work and all the other social aspects of being a smoker around other smokers.

If the social aspect weighs more then the addiction, then you should have no problem quitting using a e-cig

I'm sure a lot of people ask this one, but which E-Cig is right for me?

As I am sure other people have stated. This is mainly a person preference. Sense you have not tried one, I would pick one that you think would be the most comfortable. I picked the 510

I know I want a lot of vapor and cheap refills!

Cheap refills means purchasing liquid, and filling your own carts. Do not buy one of the throw away attomizer-cartrige combos.

I also would like one that looks more like a cigarette than a colorful stick.
(Exception! The "Blu" E-Cigs are pretty with the tip lighting up blue...)

You can get different colored LED's on most models.

Can I buy cartridges and other supplies locally anywhere? Eg: WalGreens, CVS, etc..

Definitely not.

Where, if 'no' is the answer to question 2, is a good supplier with fast shipping and decent prices to check out?

I am going to assume this is already answered.

What's the amount of money to get started vaping and about how much a month should i expect to pay for fluids?

You could technically start for as little as $26 (PCC, atty and small amount of fluid). I would suggest a kit in the price range you are willing to throw away in the event you do not like it.

My brief 3 week experience.

Reason: Quit smoking

Purchased a auto 510. Went from 15-20 cigs a day to 2 to 3 (18 mg liquid. Still smoked morning and after meals). Got down to 1 cig in the morning and then my two attys died due to removing wick (dumb move on my part). Did not have backups... back to analog.

Batteries on a 510 flat out suck. You have to have a PCC and at least 2 batteries. A USB pass through is a must if you work for extended periods with a computer.

I got tired of the hourly battery cycle (not to mention that the vaping power slowly dies during this period), and am now purchasing my first mod.

The first day I found it to be close, but not the same thing. After a few days I found I much prefered the flavors of the e-cig juice I purchased then an analog. In fact after an analog I would take a puff from my ecig just to get a taste of better flavor.

Anyway. This is my, I guess not so, brief experience. Welcome.

Congratulations Tim! :thumb: Remember to take your time since there is a little bit of a learning process on these. Don't pressure yourself to just change over to PV's instantaneously.....you'll quit analogs when you're ready....and enjoy! :D Also, there are numerous threads in here of people switching over to whistle tips (the flat ones you didn't think you'd want) to get more flavor out of their 510's.....so do keep that in mind. If you know any e-smokers.....just borrow a DSE-901 cartridge from them to try out (if they happen to use that model).

Oh!!!.....and keep your draw light! 8-o A lot of new users will suck really hard on these like they were doing with their analogs....this could cause (especially when the cartridge is full) you to get liquid on your lips and tongue.....disgusting!! So....keep your draws light and you can draw as long or short as you desire.
