Like everything else related to vaping, I think it varies from person to person. I originally bought a kit because I had an 8 hour plane ride ahead of me in September and the thought of trying to get through it with a patch or gum made me queasy. My 510 got me through the trip--plus it was great not to have to huddle with the other analog smokers in those gross "smoking lounges" they have in some airports in Europe (they still have them in a few US airports, too). But I also brought analogs with me on the trip and, since i had them, i just tended to smoke them. I vaped and analog smoked for several weeks after I got home until I ran out of analogs. For me, the first few days were a little rough--but nothing compared to trying to quit altogether.
I've just created new rituals. I still go outside, when the weather is ok, just for the social contact with other smokers and because i'm used to doing that when I take a smoke break. ( I usually end up answering a lot of questions about my PV). I agree with previous posters, though, about how disappointing analogs are once you are into vaping. NO COMPARISON. I'd say-- go ahead and smoke a few analogs now and then if you have the hankering for them. It won't be long before you retire your lighters, etc. One day you wake up in the morning, reach for your pack, don't have any cigs left, dig out your PV and, a few seconds later..... ahhhhh...... all better. Once that happens, you'll never look back.
