One vision and ce2 soaking in vinegar since last night. I will try them this weekend
Vision was dead when I tried to fire it up, ce2 fired up for a few secs and stopped. Apparently they didn't like the vinegar
i don't know maybe i've been doing it wrong but this works for me.
...
i think the vinegar killed the last vision. probably didn't like soaking for over 24 hours. definately part of the problem is the coils getting gunked from the sweet juice, going to remedy that soon. but its clear that vision coils are not up to the same specs as ce2 coils.

... The trick to cleaning and dry burning isn't to burn off the big clod of gunk on the coil. It's to avoid getting the big clod of gunk to accumulate to begin with.
This is a Very Good Point.
And since I Refuse to give up My Sickly Sweet DIY mixes, it made me find a way to keep the "Gunk" ball down to a Minimum.
That’s where the Detek Brush wipe comes in for me at Refill.
I don't know. To me, they look like the same coils. But the sweet juices will certainly gunk up the coils faster; thus requiring more frequent cleaning. As I understand it, and I'm no chemist, the black gunk is carbon; and there's no chemical that I'm aware of that will simply dissolve carbon. It needs to be removed. The Dentex brushes do a pretty good job, if you're careful.
they may look the same, but killing one of the Ce2's is quite difficult.
