Hi - posting a little intro here. I've been a smoker for...forever. (Marlboro lights and Nat Sherman MCD's when I wanted to splurge a bit) I actually quit cold turkey about 5 years ago, then started back up again a year and a half ago and haven't been able to kick it again. I've done some research about e-cigs for the past month or so and ordered a Joye 510 kit on Sunday with a few various accessories...usb charger, some blank cartridges, a drip tip and a few 5mls of juice in different flavors (a couple tobacco flavors, vanilla and rose) so I can get a better idea of what my tastes are before I go with a bigger bottle.

Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive! (shipped 2/2 from Liberty Flights)

I'm looking forward to learning more about vaping once I have my e-cig in hand. I'll probably have my share of questions and this seems like a great place for information. :toast:

Welcome!

BTW if the juices you got are 100% PG (lets through most TH of the nicotine which means it may be harsh) or 100% VG (lots of vapor but dulls the TH) then for your next juices you may want to try some 70pg/30vg juices or around there. I really like Backwoods Brew Vanilla Bean - it's my all day vape now and a good mixer too. I also like their Casablanca (a mellow complex Turkish blend with some cocoa). My most analog-alike fave is FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship and I also love their sweet caramelly oRYental 4 (vanilla caramel tobacco - also a super mixer for adding a but of sweetness to another tobacco)

Annie, congratulations on your choice!
I have been vaping for 1 month+, and never have had reason to look back.

People in here are only nice and will definitely help you all they can.
The 510 is a good starting point!

You may order more juice soon, since -once started to vape- you will not like to run dry (trust me on this) :)
Look for the juice recommendations. Plenty in here.

Wish you luck to have a good experience when the equipment arrives.
It's not a defeat to have a couple of analogs in the initial period.

Hi Annie, good luck. Today is day 7 for me being tobacco free, I ordered more juice on the first, and am waiting with baited breath for it to arive, I am ALMOST OUT. That is a very bad feeling to look at that liquid slowly disappear.
What I'm wondering from some people doing this a long time, is have y'all ever bought a large quantity of e-juice, I found one company selling 16oz for $59, I just always think that if something is too good to be true, then it probably is.
I too started a week ago with the Joye 510, the problems I am having so far, are the battery life (1-2 hours per battery at most), and the carts running dry too fast for me (after a while it starts to taste like a filter hit, loads of vapor, but that filter taste). So I ordered a Joye 510 extra large (or something like that) it has a larger battery, larger atty, and larger cart (and 10 spares to keep refilling) PLUS a PCC, and if that won't be enough, a car charger. Its not like I can run into any old store anywhere to get my fix like I could with smokes. I am so excited about this new solution. I was up to 3-4 packs a day........I have really bad lungs too, so I have been close to dying from infections too many times. In October I got a lung infection, and was on an increasingly more potent dose of antibiotics, I finally shook it at the beginning of January, I don't want to die before I'm 40 from a self inflected addiction. I'm rambling, sorry. Just very happy to be vaping, and not smoking.

Hi Annietc,

Welcome to the boards ... and to "vaping". Congratulations for making this choice! I'm very new too, having just received my penstyle e-cig on Monday ... but I've been pleasantly surprised by how effective it is. Since Monday I have had only 3 analogues ... and found that I didn't enjoy them at all.

The cartridges I have are very high nic ... 2.4 ... and I am expecting some "milder" juice and carts to arrive today. I found the 2.4 to be a little harsh [although that could be the PG amount] so will find out which I prefer once I've had a chance to compare.

Good luck with vaping ... it's a surprisingly easy transition.

Hello Annie!! I'm new also, just got my Joye 510 yesterday. I started Vaping today. Love it!! I've been doing a lot of reading on this site and went back on last night and ordered a bunch of other stuff I thought might help me. It's pretty good. It does take a bit of getting used to but I don't think I'll have too much of a problem. I did have one analog when I woke up, but the rest of the morning it's all been vaping. Takes a little getting used to, but I think I'm getting the hang of it!

Good luck!!!
