All right. I've been curious about e-cigs for a while now, having heard of it from the good folks at SnusOn (mainly TropicalBob). As lovely as smokeless alternatives--such as snus and snuff--are, they never really took the place of my beloved (and much-hated) cigarettes. I was intrigued at the concept of e-cigs, but not quite enough to do the research and make a purchase, so I quickly forgot about them.
Months later, I started seeing the NJoy versions being sold at all the local gas stations, and once again my interest was piqued. I've been smoking about a pack a day for 6 years, and though I KNOW I need to quit the nasty habit, the combination of lovely nicotine and the habit of smoking and cementing an oral fixation have made previous attempts to quit (either cold turkey, or using other methods of nicotine delivery--mainly snus and snuff) pretty much doomed to fail, regardless of how I tried. Being reminded of the existence of e-cigs made me really think about them this time: the fact that they're pretty much lacking in any detrimental health effects, while still delivering the nicotine I crave AND attending to my oral fixation really sealed the deal for me. I was wary about quickly buying the first kit I saw, however, as I didn't want to ruin my first experience with e-cigs, so I decided to do a bit of research first...and here I am!
Been lurking/making minor posts on here for a bit, and have finally made my first order (all on Cignot):
+Joye eGo kit with 2 batteries, 1 atomizer, 1 atomizer cover, 1 USB charger, 1 AC to USB adapter, and 5 pre-filled cartridges.
+3 510/eGo spare atomizers
+1 extra eGo battery
+some spare, empty 510 cartridges
+a ....-ton (~60ml) of variously-flavored e-juices; mostly VG
Having already placed my order, I guess it'd be stupid to ask whether I made a good one or not, but I'm pretty sure that I've stocked up pretty well. I obviously wanted to make my order all in one go, from one supplier, but I've been reading up on other e-juice suppliers and am curious about ZFM's carts and plugs, as well as getting some drip-tips. I figured it'd be best to play around and become familiar with the items in a basic 3-piece, though, before trying to experiment with other things!
Anyway, I'm not going to put all my proverbial eggs into a single basket and hope that the arrival of my PV and yummy juices makes me immediately swear off analogs, but I'm definitely looking forward to vaping and can't wait to see where it takes me! I'm definitely glad I didn't impulsively buy the first NJoy kit I saw; there's just so much more to e-cigs and vaping, in terms of products/quality out there, and doing the bit of research I've done in the past few days already has my head spinning!
Here's hoping for the best!
