Shawn from LiteCig sent me these free of charge for the purpose of conducting a review. They took some time to get here, and I had since ordered a couple packs of my own, which I had already had the pleasure of using before my freebies arrived. Regardless, this review will remain honest and unbiased.

I must also apologize for not doing my review sooner. A day or so after receiving my 510 cartos from Shawn, I came down with a sore throat, and have only started feeling better within the last couple days.

With that out of the way, let's commence with the review...

Compared to standard 510 carts and atomizers, its basically no-contest.

The cartomizers provide better flavor, better vapor, and a superior throat hit! I was never wholly satisfied with the throat hit from 510 atomizers, and feel that this is a much needed improvement.

Then there's the added convenience provided by cartomizers... The 2 piece design is much more hassle-free. They hold close to 30 drops which means I don't have to continually top off every 3 or 4 hits. I don't need to carry any tools, or bottles of liquid with me either! I just grab an extra full carto or 2, and am good for the day!

And the size! With the cartomizer, the 510 is now approx. half an inch shorter than the standard 3-piece set up, and now much more resembles a traditional cigarette (a positive for me). Black cartos on a titanium battery are a sexy combination!

If you like the 510 batteries, but are sick and tired of the tedious maintenance and upkeep needed to keep your carts and atomizers performing, this is definitely the solution for you.

If you have yet to try them, do it! Since I got mine, I can finally bring my 510's out of retirement!

If I have 1 complaint, it is that the cone of my tornado/ego will not slide over the cartomizer. Not a big deal, as it performs just as well without that silly little cone. Or, one could always remove the sticker on the cartomizer. This should provide that little bit of clearance. I just thought I'd point that out.

If you fancy getting some for yourself, head over to LiteCig!

I hope this review has proved helpful.

Thank you for reading!

But there's only 2 flavors!

You can always get blank cartos and fill them with the juice of your choice... i ordered some blanks from litecig a couple of days ago - won't receive them until sometime next week - so I can't personally say that it's better or easier, but from what I've read, it is. I do know that cartridges are not working out for me, and dripping is somewhat tedious. I'm really hoping that cartomizers will be the cure-all...

Nice review!

I recently recieved both the Hard tip aluminum thread cartos and the soft tip 'gold' threaded ones. I think its actually brass, but 'gold' is cooler and I'm a str8 up playa! lol.

Anyways, I'm just posting to see if anybody else has noticed the hard tip 'silver' cartos being a pretty hard draw? It might be because I am using mine with an L88B battery instead of the usual 510 battery I imagine most ppl are using. When I unscrew it a little bit the draw is better, but, then its pretty loose.

The gold ones produce TONS of vapor and are a nice easy draw. That is why I'm just checking about the aluminum because I know some people prefer that manufacturer. I guess its always possible one of the five might have been a bit of a dud?

Any ideas on common erros I might have made that could lead to it being a harder draw? It's not like ridiculously hard, but, noticeably more than gold tip. Also even when I give a good hard draw I can't seem to get the massive vaper like I can with the gold soft tips.

I'm pretty sure the trouble is either an error I've made or possibly just a rare bum carto. Either that or a slight incompatibility with my L88B Volcano battery. Anyway, if anybody has any ideas or suggestions just lmk!

I've read a bunch of carto related posts, but, the information all kind of starts to run together after a while, lol. Thanks!

I think you'll really be pleased with the cartos. The vapor production and flavor are top notch. In addition the ability to switch between flavors/cartos at a moments notice is really sweet. Something you can't really do without a bunch of atomizers and even then can be a bit of a pain. It's so super easy just unscrewing the carto and popping another on.

Aside from the minor problem noted above I absolutely love them!

FYI: Shawn tried to steer me away from the hard tip ones. Probably knew it'd be easier for a noobie to have the soft tip. I'm stubborn though, lol. I also love a good compare/contrast session. :smokie:

I just got my aluminum threaded/hard tipped cartos in today. I love them! I've only filled three so far (I'm up to 25 drops without any overflow) and I'm getting way more vapor that I did with a regular atomizer. It also doesn't seem to get as hot as an atomizer. I'm not having any problem with the draw, but I like to take several small hits before inhaling rather than one big one. I'm also using a 510 battery.

Edit: The only thing that's annoying me is the hissing sound they make when you inhale. Is this typical?

Thanks for the reply! I think the issue I was having might have been due to slightly overfilling the carto prior to initial use. Since then I've not refilled them and the vapor has consistently gotten better. I also get a bit of a sound when inhaling, nothing too bad though.

I just noticed before reading your post that doing a few short hard puffs as opposed to a light long draw seemed to give me a better amount of vapor with less effort. I'm not exactly sure why, but, if it works who cares?

The SLB Soft tips are working great for me as well. Slightly overfilled one of those also. I'm not sure which I like better yet. Initially I was thinking I liked the SLB, but, now I'm not so sure. They both work quite well.

Obviously the SLB has the soft tip, but now LiteCig has Boge available with the soft tip as well. So it all comes down to performance.

Definitely was overfilled at first. Even taking soft slow puffs now I get good solid vapor action. Now to puff on my Boge Banana Creme carto burn off some of that excess juice!

After some more experimentation I'll probably post back with my final thoughts, assuming this thread isn't buried deep in the recesses of this forum before then.
