That's not the point... the point is that they consider e-Cigarettes to be of the same health risk as Cigarettes, pipes, etc...

These are supposed to be Educated people ... At least I hope they are, running a Major University.

Maybe I missed it.

But where did UCLA say that they felt that e-Cigarettes are the Same Health Risk as Smoking?

It's simple. College students need a reason to protest. The "older adults" usually work real hard giving them some.

If you are a nanny stater who is bummed out about being nanny stated, well.... huh.

I'm not sure what a "nanny stater" is?

I live in a solid RED region, and I am not allowed to have (in public) or buy an alcoholic drink here.

I'm a full grown woman who has been infantilized basically.

Then you have been nanny stated. It is not a term that describes a region, but rather one that describes the attitude of those who want you to behave in a manner they deem appropriate and as "for your own good" as if they are somehow more enlightened than you are and should have a right to dicate your behavior. - "Nanny Staters" is a term in general use these days to describe people like Mayor Michael Bloomberg for activities such as trying to ban what they deem to be "bad for you" like Big-Gulps. No one knows who coined the term, "nanny-state" but it started in England.

As vapers, we have to be aware of these sorts of people no matter if they are in government or just in our own neighborhood. there are a bunch of folks who would be happy if vaping was banned just because it *looks* like smoking. Unfortunately, lots of these types of folks end up in positions where they actually end up getting to dictate our behavior and seem to think they have good reasons to do so... much like the person I was replying to implied the vaping ban was an unintended consequence of trying to dictate people's behavior because of wanting to better "the image" of their school. ---- So, my reply was a little bit ornery (hopefully not too much so) to the point that if one wants to dictate the behavior of others, maybe they won't get a whole lot of sympathy when they end up losing the "right" to do something they think they should be able to do.
