So 5 days ago at work I ran out of tobacco, a friend of mine gave me a EGO-CE4 (possibly a fake) it leaks occasionally but I'm still using it, haven't considerd buying tobacco or cigs just liquid and soon a new stick. THANKYOU for freeing me E-cig I have been a 12g a day tobacco smoker for 10 years now I use about 2ml a day of 11mg cherry oil! Love it!

Congrats on quitting! If you are looking to upgrade there are lots of options. If you like the ego batteries here's a popular kit. Your choice of 2 ego batts and 2 clearos.

I personally love this one and think its great. It variable volt and variable watt.

I'm sure you will get lots of opinions because there are so many great devices out right now.

Welcome, and take a look at the Kanger Evod clearos if you're sick of the CE4 leaking..they're worth everything you spend on 'em, and the only part that needs replacement once in a while is the coil head, which is far cheaper than a whole new clearo. This side of the pond you can get genuine Evods for $6 in your choice of seven or eight colors, and replacement heads are maybe $7-$8 for a five pack. Not sure how pricing is over in the UK but I'd guess it's probably similar.

So far I have yet to have any of my Evods leak unless I dumped a known 'tank killer' juice in without thinking. Of course, if you do get a leaky one after using it a while, probably just needs a new head/coil, which, as I said above, five-packs are pretty cheaply available. I change heads maybe every two-three weeks, toss the dead ones in a baggie, and when I'm bored on a Friday night I sit down and recoil the entire bag of them at once.

Hi Paul, and welcome!

Don't be too concerned if the battery is a clone or not. Many of them work as well and as long as the "name" brands. But you do want to have some backups. IMO, no backups is worse than running out of cigs, since they're harder to come by!

The topper - i.e. juice holder + heating coil - will be the issue, although even with those, the brand may not be critical. Again, many of the clones work fine. Good advice above on some alternatives to the CE style. The CE is a top coil - the heating coil is at the top of the tube. Devices like the mentioned Evod are bottom coil - the coil is, duh, at the bottom! Bottom coils tend to give a slightly cooler vape (when running the same resistance, voltage and juice.) Wouldn't be a bad idea to try one of each, to see which you prefer. Other variations of both also abound. I like the Kanger T3S - big brother to the Evod, holds more. Some like the Vivi Nova, a top coil like the CE, but holds more. Lots to pick from, so if you try both a top and a bottom coil to see which you like better, then you can explore the different styles in that type.

And get that friend a bottle of juice! :toast:

That's brilliant mate, I've been looking to quit analogs for awhile now too, and just discovered the awesome that is an e-cig!

it dropped out of my pocket when i was riding my bike home from work, traced my tracks back and looked for 2 hours without finding it! got another of the same cheap from a local market stall to see me through the weekend before i start looking into the above recommendations. not too sure i like the idea of recoiling myself, ive not got a steady hand (due to reasons it would be against the rules of this forum to discuss lol) so i do feel im better off just throwing old ones out and getting fresh ones every couple of weeks. will the protank fit on the battery i have? is it a standard fitting or will i be needing another battery??
