My Ego twist has died (11-04-14 - R.I.P) :(

So my Ego-T stopped working last week, the light was lighting up but nothing when connected to a ego. So i took it apart and it seems the red wire come lose form the positive post...So i tried soldering it back in which is a fiddly job! but did it and it worked for a week then went again yesterday.....This time a lot more wires come off the board i think due to me spinning the head when having a evod attached...

Anyway.. this is my second ego that has gone because of wiring.

Is there anything that can replace the EGO (twist) reason i like them so much is battery life and portability but the build quality as pants!! (by the way they were both from FT so not sure if that's the reason?)

Also like them because I can fit 2 of them in my carry case a long with 3-4 evod heads, having a mod is too large to carry round and I have the risk of loosing it on a night out!

Ideas please :)

Well....

This is what i carry around with me EVERYWHERE! when I get to work/office i use my EVOD on a sigelei vmax but it's far to large for my carry case and valuable.

When I get home I mainly use what's in my case, the EGO-Twist and the ego standard as a back up.

I want to ideally replace it the ego twist so like £6-7 from FT so I wasn't worrying about losing my case on a night out (not happened as of yet but you never know!)

I was also thinking can you get a VW casing which would take a rechargeable AA type battery? so i have one of them and say 2-3 spare batteries in my case.

The casing mod would have to be the same sort of size as the AA battery.

this sort of battery: 18650 - 2600mAh Rechargeable Lithium ion Battery

Evod "Twist".

All from myepack, obviously....

Most of my mods use the 18650 batteries. I have Vamo V5 and SID and three mechanicals (sometimes with a kick).

Hard to choose between them, they are all good. The only mod I no longer use is the Joyetech evic as it's dead... waste of money....

There used to be a Joyetech 18650 mod tube which came with a control head... now, I have one of those and it's really quite good - less to go wrong you see. I don't use it much as it's not VV/VW but with a 1.5ohm clearomiser (using the regulated 3.3v mode) it's a terrific vape.

let me see if I can find it...

    something like this:

$19.64 JM Style Mechanical Mod Kit - 18350&18500&18650 tubes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It's about £11 but just a VW version.

I also have 3 IMR 18350 800mAh 3.7 batteries which i use for my Sigelei

I don't think that's VW?? Good idea tho, and it's nice. How about getting that, use your short 18350's, and instead of having a VV-VW head- do it the old fashion way and use different OHM heads to vary your output?

It could be much shorter that way.

That's the problem i really like having the VW option. Rather just carry 1-2 evod heads than loads of Ohms on (because i forget what ohms each one is lol)

How long have you had it?

I've had two, going on three months now & they've been dependable & reliable. But they were cheap, $10 with a CE4 & usb charger. Looking for something new, I bought an ego-V & an xFire, e-Fire (it was just too cool), but I still use my ego most often. The 650 mah batteries are the perfect size for me. I can stick them in my shirt pocket, or my pants pocket & it's not much different than carrying a pen... a heavy pen, but a pen just the same.

If I end up having to buy another after three months, I'm not too worried about it. $10 for three months, I can live with that.
