I don't own a vv but you can remove the tube, clean it, then put it back on. Don't forget the little dab of super glue on the tube and stem though or you might have a little leaking going on. Prior to taking the tube off, I would fill a bottle with just water or maybe a little soap, take any atty off you might have on the device, then sqounk over the sink until the bottle is empty to get all the little nasty's out of the connection. Then do it a couple more times with plain water... Hope this helps...
Helps a ton, thanks! If I need to add super glue, does that mean I really shouldn't be taking the tube on and off too much? Wasn't sure if it was meant to come out every cleaning or not.
Hey KG19,

Congrats and welcome to Reoville.

Always a disappointment when the previous user doesn't clean the mod. Use a syringe in the bottom of the tube to shoot warm water and or pure grain alcohol through the tube and out the 510.
Never thought about that! Good idea as well!

I'm going to clean/re-wick my new REO Grand & RM4 combo in a few minutes (emptied the bottle of the Lemon Sherbert flavor from Celtic Vape). I'll take a few photos (probably poor quality) of how I currently push hot water for cleaning.
I do much better with visuals so any pics help!!! that would be awesome!

Ok!

So first, I pop the battery out (set to the side), pull drip tip and atty apart rinse all that off under very hot water, set to the side. If you have no atty base installed on the 510, that's ok.

Next, pull the wicks out and fill the bottle with hot water. I hold my REO like this:

Then, carefully hold the atty base under the flowin hot water and squonk it many times. If angled just right, the water squonked out will be refilled by the flowing tap water (Edit: refilled when you release the squonk on the bottle, the negative pressure should suck water back into the bottle, to be re-squonked back out). Edit again: this should work with or w/out an atty base installed on the 510, to varying degrees. Try to keep the water from getting in the button area.

Once you are happy with the amount of hot water pushed thru, dry everything off well (I tend to hold the REO upside down and blow excess water out thru the tube to the atty base, paper towel to catch water), dry burn the coils, re-wick and juice it all back up!

I PMed you back. I wouldn't take the tube off. It's super-glued right at the top and you'll have to take the mod apart to super glue it back on. Fill your bottle with water, alcohol, vodka, pure grain alcohol, or even soapy water and squirt it up thru the tube and out the 510 connection a few times. Then follow that with clean water rinses a few times. Should clean the tube and the connection. Make sure to rinse it well....several clean water bottles through it. After that, any lingering/residual taste should go away pretty quickly once you get your own juice going through it.

P.S. It sure is pretty!
On the dial, all the way to the left is low, and all the way to the right is high. I think it runs from 3.5 volts up to 5.5 volts. Not sure I'm remembering that correctly, but it's close. With a 2.4 ohm atty, I'd start on the lowest (left) and dial it up to the warmth I liked. That's me.

Thank you for posting the pics and explaining it out!!!! I saved copies to my phone to refer back too! everything makes more sense to me when I can "see it in action" :)

Got your message, and thank god! I'm not exactly a handygirl so I definitely don't want to be doing anything that requires me to take anything apart quite yet lol! I'm going to start the cleaning process now. thanks for the info on the vv part too. I tried searching the web the web but google and I just weren't on the same page this morning:facepalm:
I'm loving the color of it! it definitely is way prettier in person!

I just fill my bottle with hot water, attach it, and squikk it out with no atty attached. Kinda turns your Reo into a mini squirt gun, or a fountain, for a second or two. (I'm easily amused...)

When I have received a, er, umm "less than clean" used Reo I have found that more odor was coming from dried on liquid inside the Reo itself than anything in the bottle or tube. May want to give your Reo a sniff test, and possible a bath. (Assuming it isn't a VV Grand. Or a Woodville.)

You really don't want to remove your tubing from the Reo unless absolutely necessary. More than one new user has got into trouble doing that, then wondering why the tubing kept popping off the 510 connector every time they squonked. It is glued on there.

Ok KG I backed up a little bit here. (I so want that purple VV Grand. If it goes missing I know nuthing!!!) On setting, low is all the way to the left and that's where you want to start. If your first volley is going to be a 2.4 ohm atty you will need to rotate a bit to the right to get enough heat going for 2.4 ohms.

Just be careful when cleaning a VV Grand. You don't want to get any water in there underneath the black delrin cover or especially into the adjustment pot. If you are squirting water out to clean just be mindful - hold it at an angle with the catch cup down - which leaves the adjustment pot positioned up and out of the way. You sure can't dunk a VV Grand - just wipe the inside out multiple times with a well moistened cloth or paper towel.

Ahhhh... My bad KG19!!!

My cleaning method is for a regular REO Grand, NOT for a VV model. Perhaps one of the other methods given is better for you situation.

Ahh, no worries since ur still helped!!
Just had to post that I've been absolutely loving this thing!!! I am in the process now of getting the rm2 ready. been nervous since I technically never used a rebuildable before. although awhile back I did try a kayfun mini once (totally forgot about it till I started building the rm2) but someone else did the building. I just put some cotton in and it still didn't really work right. I was completely clueless back then. It was at the local vape shop so it wasn't really mine anyways lol. They just let me try it out to see if I liked it. Also re-wicked a protank but that never worked out either. it leaked like a sieve! Anyways, that's why I'm going super set by step, watching suggested videos of superXdrifter in slow-mo, (huge help!). Someone graciously made the coil for me, and I got it mounted the way it looks in the videos. Checked the ohms on my MVP and then put some cotton wick thru. I think it's just about ready. I'll be trying it out tonight once I get home! So far, this atomizer is still way better than any other vape I have tried to date so I'm sure I will be even more amazed!!! I'm so glad I listened to all if you. Now I can officially start saving my money because I've found what I've been looking for. I know I probably sound so cliche by now but it's the truth. and I had to share some where cause I'm super stoked and have no "real life vape friends" lol!!!

Okeh - you're imaginary vape friends in Reoville will do just fine!

Don't forget about X's rebuild thread if super slo-mo helps. Personally I do better with still pictures. => http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/413000-rm2-rba-2-0-reomizer-2-rebuild-tutorial.html

Really glad you found out that both your VVG and your Pila are working just fine. :)

We can go over 'meter 101' when you get back home tonight. They might look a bit intimidating but once you plug the test leads into the correct two holes and know what two settings you will be using on it it becomes a pretty simple thing. You can't hurt it either - if you apply the test leads backwards to a battery it will show the reading "in reverse" - with a minus sign. But it won't hurt the meter.

KewelGirl19, I'm so glad to hear you're liking your REO. If you like the REO with the regular atty, then you're going to LOVE it once you get that RM2 all set up. I can't wait to hear from you then. As for real life friends versus forum friends....you'll find that the friends you make here are just as real and loyal and caring and helpful as anybody out there in the world could be. If I had to do without these people and rely on vapers in my area for help and support....I'd still be smoking.

Hey Rick that was me with the VVG Pila issue. I did buy a meter and with some help from Raynman and Ian44 learned how to use it!

Finally have a second to update/boast that I'm absolutely LOVING every second of my reo!! I've using it now for 48hrs w/the rm2 and I have barely been able to put it down. I've come to the conclusion that new vapors should just be set up with a reo instead of the cigalike/ego route. IMO but a nasty, dry hit off a clearo is MUCH more intimidating and off putting than a little box mod that tastes amazing and cures a nic-fit instantly. Juuuust sayin ; )
Thank you JC Okie, for walking me thru every step!!! She knows her reos and was super sweet to make sure I had mine working just right! also redeyedancer and RattlerX helped make sure I was a ready to go reo-er so can't thank you guys enough either : ) and everyone else who responded to me here. your all the best. now I sound like I won an award or something. and now that I just said that, I realize I feel like I did. best new pv mod goes to my purple vv reo grand. and the fact that I just wrote that last statement and am not backspacing it away for fear of humiliation is proof of another highly satisfied customer ;);)

The fact that you got a huge bargain on it and that it's the best vape in the world would be great enough....but that it's metallic purple and absolutely gorgeous just takes it over the top! I think you must have some pretty good Karma going for you because you just hit the lottery. Glad to hear you're enjoying it....not that ANY of us are surprised, you understand. Thanks for checking in with the update. :)
