How can there be such a monopoly on something (BP NRTs) that doesn't work (<7% effectiveness after a year of being quit) in a society that practices free enterprise?

Doesn't this violate some fundamental law of economics?

They're not selling results, they're selling hope. And you can always try again later.

E-Cigs are about quitting cigarettes andtobacco. That's why they succeed.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is more effective than the patch. Without a doubt in my mind, and I have thought about this since I first heard of the e-cig. I did not go read the article yet but here is what hopefully they say, and it is what I think:

1. Helps with the "hand to mouth movement" part of analog addiction.
2. Simulates a real smoking experience with the vapor and throat hit
3. Gives nicotine

Honestly for me, I think that 1 and 2 are moreso my issues than the nicotine. Looking forward to proving that when I get some 0 nic.
