I buy 20$ pound bags of pipe tobacco that last me for a month and a half. I have seen some eliquids canisters advertised at about 14$ how long do these last? I know its relative to how often the person puffs and how big of a puff they take but on average how long does a typical container last because if im going to invest in an expensive electronic like an ecigeret that already has parts that have to be replaced I expect the liquid to last as long as my 20$ 1 pound bag of tobacco.

I was a pack a day smoker for 25 years and generally go through about 5ml of juice a day but it all depends on your set-up and what volts/watts you vape at as well as how often. I would try to buy as much extra as you can within your budget that way you dont run out and are tempted to smoke cigarettes/pipe tobacco.

A 30ml bottle of Halo Menthol Ice ($20) typically lasts me 3 wks. This has been consistent for the last 5 years.

Edit: I concur with the previous post concerning keeping extra e-juice on hand. The one thing worse than having your device quit on you is running out of juice.

First of all, most people have more than one flavor around. Second, prices vary greatly. Just start out with a few bottles, see what you like, and then see how quickly you use it up.
Yes, vaping costs money. Your vape-device will require maintenance, replacement parts, and juice...but you won't be smoking! Priceless, if you ask me.

Eliquids are still expensive and they seem to be priced as if you didn't have anything else to buy and you're going to be spend just as much as you did on cigarettes.

To save on eliquids you can DIY doityourself.

The cheap barebones eliquid is glycerin + 10% water.

The quickie compromise - which is what I do - is buy 24mg PG only eliquids and dilute it with glycerin.

On the other end of the spectrum a 30 ml bottle of Juice can last me 3 days with a ReBuildable. There are far too many variables to get an "average".

If you want to Vape on a Budget - Learning to make your own Juice is the only way to save money (its quite easy) $70 of Raw E-juice supplies can last me about 6 months - roughly 2 liters of (very tasty) 10mg juice.

My Juice Per Litre consists of:

    650ml of Glycerine
100ml of 100mg Nicotine in PG base.
100ml of Flavor in PG base (on average)
10ml of Ethyl Maltol (Flavor Enhancer)
    5ml of Sucralose Sweetener
Top off to 1ltr with Propylene Glycol

I vape unflavored at 6mg. 30 mil cost me about $1.00 or so. I was a very heavy smoker and I use about 6 mil per day.

For a new vaper, I advise against stocking up too much. Your tastes will change, sometimes quite suddenly, as your taste buds and sense of smell come back. Just keep a few weeks on hand until you know for sure.

I smoked a pack and a half a day at the cost of $6.25 a pack. I did the RYO thing and sure its cheaper but it still had all the nastiness of the different chemical s...so I dont really care about the minimal cost of ejuice compared to how I feel and the taste of some good ejuice. DIY is my next step but until then I go to the B&M and get juices. ..and thats a great time to ask questions/get info on new shiny things.

    Hi,
I did a day vaping followed by a day smoking to start with. Golden Virginia 30 a day minimum. A week later I decided that I was just going to vape.

that was 11 months ago. My tastes have changed many times because I can taste things better now.

Stuff I liked initially, I don't enjoy any more. A fair bit of eliquid got given away to friends and family, but it helped them out.

Don't base your decision on cost. It will be a bit more costly to start. But with the knowledge from the members here, you can get to the right place for you pretty quickly. then it's a lot cheaper.

The initial outlay is the expensive bit. Just make sure you buy something that will last a while.

    good luck
