Well....some of my relatives smoke analogs...can I do a carbon offset type thing where I pay them to smoke a couple Marlboro's for me?

I think that would work. You should probably get documentation in case there's ever a challenge tho. Notarized statements would be good, video of course would add credence.

Hmm. This is an interesting conundrum.
What follows is, in all honesty, only my personal opinion. To be taken with the required amount of seasoning:

On the one side, I can see why we could (should?) be hesitant in recommending vaping to a non-smoker. It could give us publicity we don't need. Luring non-smokers with visions of luscious flavored vapors. The antis would have a field day with this.
On the other hand, nobody tried to stop me when I asked for a pack of Marlboros at the corner store waaay back in the 1980s.
I say, if he/she is an adult, knows what he/she is getting into, knows the possible risks involved (of which we know very little as of yet, admittedly)... It's his/her choice.
I feel I have no right to deny anyone an activity, pleasure or habit.
I also feel nic juice should be only sold unflavored. Flavored e-juice should never contain nic. Those of us in it to break/alleviate an addiction should know enough to mix our own juice+nic level as we require/want.
I have spoken. Damn the torpedoes! Hoard the unflavored!

That said, the 808s and 901s are said to be the flavoriest of the bunch. Live and let live.

When you consider that juice is available without nicotine, kinda makes the FDA's stance look a bit silly, doesn't it?

So e-cigs have not been proven safe. But you know what? They've not been proven to pose a danger either. Most of what we all see is nothing more than spin, with highly questionable motive.

Somehow the logic of banning that which may or may not pose some level of risk, while allowing products that pose grave danger to remain, just escapes me. But then, only one of those camps keeps politicians as pets, trained to bark on command.

MC, you're right - only "some of us self-professed addicts..." The FDA did classify PV as a tobacco product this year. Federal and state laws may apply to the legal purchase age. Enforcement is another matter.

Not specifically referring to you, NLites: The reason I am hesitant is that anyone with decent writing skills can talk somewhat like an adult on the net. Even 5 year olds have smart phones. How do I know if anyone is who they say they are? All I have is an avatar and what the person chooses to enter in the bio, if anything, when someone FIRST arrives here. A 12 year old with a connection and email account can visit ECF. Signing up for me was very easy and I could be 14, which I am not, wish I still were. The same can be applied to noobs who claim 30 years or smokes of course, but my conscience may rest easier, if only for my benefit.

It happens that I'm a few decades pass 18 too, if you choose to believe that. NLites, if you are as well, welcome to ECF! Get the Joye 510, eGo or Volt, try them out and eat, drink, vape and be merry! :)
