Hey All!

Decided to finally stop lurking and post. After reading for a week or so I have the basic idea of what I need to get. But I do have a few questions.

Short Story: I enjoy smoking on occasion it's not 100% part of my daily life so this is more of a hobby for me, just something to enjoy from time to time (and I will mostly stick with 0% nic maybe a few low for when I want that as well). The second part is that I'm trying to help one of my good friends quit analogs. She smokes a lot, U-mild Cloves for anyone that's familiar. So I'm trying to find something that might help her quit smoking and start feeling better. And yes she did say she was interested in trying it.

Here's what I've been looking at:
eGo 1100 mAh CE6 Changeable Head Clearomizer Starter Kit - EVcigarettes.com
or
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm (which I have seen suggested here a lot)

My concern is the clearomizers/cartomizers/tanks, I know they have a tendency to melt with the stronger flavored liquids. I'm looking at getting a few fruit flavored ones (similar to what we've had in the hookah) as well as some spicier ones (ex. clove) and a few cola. Is there a particular type I should be on the look-out for? I'm willing to spend a little extra. As these would be used just for those flavors.

Sorry for the long post, guess that was a little more than I expected. And we do not have anywhere local to try/buy things here. The closest is about 2-2.5 hrs away and that's kinda far for me right now. Thanks in advance!! You guys are awesome! :)

Welcome to ECF! I've never used the tank melting flavors, but I would think fruit flavors and colas would be okay. I'm not sure about cloves or spicier ones. You might want to search the General E-Liquid Discussion forum ... General E-Liquid Discussion ... to see if you can find some more info. Good luck!

Its good to meet new kind respectful folks. Not so much where I use to hang out. Anyway, since its for a friend a starter kit a good choice. Good friends that I have gotten to convert was easy. I lent them one of my REOs to use and the serious ones were sold on vaping. I don't recommend I high end mod to a newbie cause the cost is scary but when its free to try...slam dunk. :)

Best of luck to your friend :thumb:

Welcome fellow CA. Whereabouts in CA?
My 2 cents:
Part 1(you): Don't mean to sound harsh, but unless you are dependent on analogs(cigs), this is NOT a good 'hobby' for you to pick up. It's a safer alternative to smoking, but it is not safe and not without risks. Strongly suggest you seek other safer hobbies.
Part 2(your friend): Very noble of you and your concern is well warranted. Inhaling vapor from plastic-leached juices is not advisable, especially when you are trying to find a healthier route. If a tank system is what you are looking for, your should consider those that come with a pyrex tank instead of plastic(peace of mind?). Eg, kanger protanks.

As for your selection, i'd go with the twist. Alternatively, you probably could piece together a kit for less.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes! Appreciate it.

No jumping to anything yet, research is the best way about these types of purchases.

And yes, hobby was definitely the wrong choice of words. I do smoke, more regularly now than before. But really on and off since I can remember. I am certainly not as reliant on analogs as others, but more than I like to admit, LOL. So I'm not going into it just for the fun of it. I see anything I can do that requires tinkering and testing out new angles to be a hobby of sorts, I'm most certainly a techy. If that makes any sense :)
